According to the Book of Exodus in the Torah, the Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses at Mount Sinai, told by Moses to the Israelites in Exodus 19:25 and inscribed by the finger of God on two tablets of stone. So, Jesus was a carpenter, God a stone mason, Mary a virgin and the Arch-Angel Gabriel was the heavenly messenger sent to Daniel to explain the vision of the ram and the he-goat and to communicate the prediction of the Seventy Weeks. That's a lot to take in and we're only up to Exodus having just recovered from Genesis.

It's an easy way to give the impression of action without actually doing anything meaningful. What are they doing for their donors? Is it something as pointless as this? I have and read a Bible at home; why do I need to see the Ten Commandments everywhere I go?

But children don't ask about those subjects because they don't know about it at 5, 6, 7 and 8 years old, the only way they know is because a adult not related to them decided incorrectly that it's their business to tell someone else's small child about subjects that they shouldn't know about at 5.
