I wonder why dont people of Madhyamgram, New Barrackpur and Barasat the northern suburb Kolkata say a single word and raise their voice about Kolkata metro development works and updates. Dont they wanna a metro ride ASAP or they are so happy and can wait another 50 years to complete yellow line of Kolkata metro huh. And what about the pink line of Kolkata metro??????
Forget the pink line...not happening anytime soon. State govt doesn't give a damn anyway plus this area along the BT road segment is complicated...given the underground pipelines and CESC lines.
Why only upto Dundun Cant?? If not possible upto airport, at least they should expand the yellow line metro upto Jessore road. Because passengers coming from Barasat can catch metro from Dumdum, no one will needlessly get down at Dumdum Cant., catch a metro, and again change a metro from Noapara to go to Garia. Because doing that will take more time & this is also a complex process. And even if they run direct metro from Noapara to Garia (as you said in the video), it will also take more time than catch directly metro from Dumdum.

Sei pukur e maati bhora kaj ta 2006 theke start hoye gachilo for the purpose of metro. Secondly yes chokro rail cholto but seta dum dum cantonment railway station theke cholto, jokhon metro bridge ta construct hote start holo in jessore road tokhon chokro rail ke divert kora holo to barasat .
Ruby to New Garia stretch is much needed. Most people rely on auto and bus to reach either Baghajatin or New Garia. It'll very much helpful at peak hours.

I still don’t understand how the network works, why would someone ride a metro from Dum Dum cant to Noapara and then change metro to go to esplanade. When you can do the same if you come directly to Dum Dum. The government should do something on the jhopris around the railway area, you cannot compromise everything for the sake of votebank, and if votebank matters then government should build a housing society for them and let them clear the section for development.
