I think the expectation would be that as the pitch is starting, and given that this is supposed to be a formal and professional presentation, that he would have taken his last sip, cleared his throat etc and be ready to begin. Swigging from his bottle of water when he should have been introducing himself/his products to the panel gives, I think, the impression of trivialising the affair and looks unprofessional, it is different to a break in the presentation with an "excuse me" as he takes a sip of water.

Nah he was a pillock, just rude. Telling anyone to cut to the chase when they're trying to explain something is rarely justified. Usually only happens in an argument, not a formal civil discussion.

@@andysmith1996 by the looks of it the deal never actually went ahead, Peter wasn't added to the company officers list, this episode was back in 2007 and by 2008 he was doing a residency at a museum where he worked as an inventor, even making gifts for the queen of England lol. He started to outsource himself as a creative designer and worked for brands like Adidas, Dyson and Samsung before starting another company in 2016 raising 600k in funding but in 2018 he closed his Consentrate business and started working for Lego as a creative director but still appears on radio and tv and does his own ted talks. Tbh he didn't need a dragon but the exposure did very well for him. There isn't a current networth but it's estimated to be between 1 million and 3 million

Maybe that's how he became a billionaire? 🤔

And he made it clear that he was putting his faith in future (better) inventions than those he'd brought in.

I do get the feeling that Peter, although he can sometimes also be a bit harsh and arrogant (but less so than the others), still goes for that genuine feeling occasionally. He likes to support talent and a good heart when he sees it.

They are so 'rich' that they have become out of touch with reality.

It happens all the time in reality TV. Though in fairness, people who have appeared on the show seem to agree that the final product that makes it to the airwaves is a fair representation of what transpires on set. So I can completely see where you're coming from.

I just got done editing this guy's Wikipedia article. After trimming out the shameless self-advertising and promotional material, there wasn't a whole lot left. It's obvious that the original article was written by Champkins himself or someone close to him.

Duncan is always really narrow minded with ideas on the Den. Theo and Deborah both gave very valid crticism about the product's design but Duncan is always just vague with "I don't get it - it's just a [insert thing reduced to its most intrinsic concept]."

No,this is a tv-show and the dragons have to act up because of it. With no cameras around the dragons would just decline and there would be no entertainment.

I doubt the dragons talk something down to get the others to back off investing. I assumed it was the opposite: the dragons who are out make the entrepreneur doubt themselves so that they'll give the dragons who are in a bigger share of the business.
