my condolences those mid engine intakes are quite daunting at first but you get the hang of it, just such an awkward position to crouch in the trunk sometimes too lol
@@DasCayman oh for sure! i did just a belt on a cayman R with bucket seats... i was like oh my god the amount of room i'm about to have... but it wasn't too bad.
Doors are on and the base tune from Dundon is loaded :) Once the weather clears up it'll be time for a test drive and then a data log...and then a "final" tune from Dundon... However they did just recommend that since they have "never actually installed and tuned a 987.2" they recommend I go to a local race shop and get a dyno tune..... FFS!!
@@miniduds The hard install wasn't so bad. But this software tune thing has thrown a lot more wrenches at me than I would have liked and cost me more than $2k than I wanted to spend.... I'll go over it in the next video!
I know this question is completely unrelated to this video but , you made a video about a straight piped sv650 and i was wondering if by just removing the muffler , do you think i could damage my engine on my 06 sv650?
In my non-professional motorcycle engine building experience....no you'd be fine. But don't hold me liable! I ran mine that way for moths with no issue. Just don't remove the tubes and run off the block.
They actually make more power down low :) There is a lot more torque in the low-midrange tbh. I'm doing a dedicated review of the dundon runners as we speak and that will be uploaded soon.
