I don’t know how he did it, but Villeneuve has somehow managed to capture almost exactly what I saw in my mind when I read the novels as a child. One of the things I’m most looking forward to is seeing Florence Pugh’s take on Princess Irulan.
There are soo many scenes I am looking forward to in the next movie especially as one of my favorites (banquet scene) was cut out in part one albeit for very good reasons.
Christopher Walken IS playing the Emperor yes. This movie looks absolutely incredible and i cant wait for it. Might be the first movie i see in theaters in like 3 yrs.
Best reaction I’ve seen to this masterpiece, absolutely love the dune universe , looks like they could be doing a 3rd film(the 2nd of the 6 books)as well ..😮👍🏻
Jason Momoa says that there is a 4 to 6 hour uncut version of Dune 1. Same is probably true for Dune 2. Denis says that he does not do Directors cuts, but if they offered the uncut versions on Blue Ray they would sell so many. This is a truly epic rendering of the book and if they do the same with Dune Messiah (for late 2025/6) then it will become a bigger blockbuster than any of the Marvel or Matrix films.
2:20 That part with music touches my soul. I think I'm starting to fall in love by the minute. There's nothing more charming than being in love with something.
I'm always happy to see new fans of this series. Especially with the enthusiasm of you two. I hope you're interested in reading the book/books, I think part 2 will really heighten your interest in the depths at play.
@@Reactsandgamesthe Dune world is huge! These first two movies are based on just the first book, "Dune," by Frank Herbert. Dune Messiah is the second book, which Deni hopes to eventually adapt to the big screen to complete a trilogy. I think that's all that's planned as far as films go, but there's another 4 books to complete the original 6-volume story (Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, and Chapterhouse: Dune). There are also another 16 books by the original author's son. He's not as great of a writer but they're still interesting and expand on a lot of the history and dynamics of the world. I believe he's still writing them. The most recent just came out a little over a year ago. (The original 6 were written between 1965-1985, then Herbert's son took over in '99). @@Reactsandgames im almost done reading dune i can say the second half of it (the second movie) is so much more batshit crazy than the first half which is really just a huge setup for whats to come
A word of advice: read the book and then read the second book Dune Messiah, which apparently has already been greenlit by Warner Bros to be adapted into Part Three. As a conclusion to this story it will leave you speechless.
Funnily enough I’ve been considering reading the books to get a further understanding of the world! Part 3!! That’s awesome! I thought it was a 2 parter! :)
