I have a Volume (X) that just developed too much play for the adjustment screw to overcome. That was the bigger version of this one. I put hundreds of hours on my other, so I just bought the one in this video. Smaller than my other and it’s perfect!

2:58 yeah, my pot apparently made its last millionth sweep because I can’t swell in anymore! It goes from 0-100! After two years off service it’s done 😐

Does anyone know how to use it as an expression pedal? I've read that there's a switch, but I can't find it. The manual however doesn't mention a switch, but just plugging in as per instructions doesn't do anything, it's still a volume pedal.

@@williamratcliffe7833 No, John is incorrect. You can't switch between volume and expression on stage because there is no switch to do so. If the input and output are plugged in, it will affect volume, and if expression is plugged in, it will affect the expression signal. If both are plugged in, it will affect both at the same time. I have two of the Minis, one to use as an expression and the other to use as a volume.

@@jdjk7 Can you confirm something for me? I was hoping to use this pedal for both Volume and Expression. I was going to put it in its own switch loop, so when engaged it will effect the volume for swells etc, then when bypassing the loop I wanted to use it as an expression on The Belle Epoche Delay. If as you say it will do Vol and Exp at the same time this should work fine, no? Cheers.

@@handofike As long as you don't have the volume loop and the delay active at the same time, because then it would control both the volume and expression. I never thought about trying a loop switcher before...

I'm going on a personal crusade to comment on reviews/demos of volume pedals when the person demonstrating it fails to do one simple, but important thing: To swell up slooowwwwly from all the way down to hear if the pedal comes on immediately or if there's a nice smooth volume ramp up - no wah-wahing the pedal, no fast swells with delay, just nice clean gradual swell up. Sorry, but another failed video regarding this simple demonstration.

@@EthanRMus Only from experience I've found the Ernie Ball VP Jr to have the best sweep and gradual voume increase from zero in that price range. I have the Dunlop mini and it's not as smooth from zero, but with a bit of verb it's not as noticeable. If only Ernie Ball would make a mini VP Jr like their delay pedals - why haven't they yet!?
