If you ride a snowmobile you need ice scratchers, they lubricate your hyfax sliders when you run into icy conditions on the trail or when you have deep powder tracks and you have to ride portions of trails to get to the fun stuff. If you have reverse then you need a reversible scratcher like the duraflex, if you don't have reverse you can get away with the economical RSI universal fir scratcher. Louie installs both - and try's out the Dura Flex!

These worked perfectly for keeping my TCat cool on hard pack trail.

I think these would have a very good chance of preventing overheat on my TCat, ZR 9000 when on hard packed trail.

my temp was at 170° after installing cable type scratchers and my temp went down to 98° on my 2015 ski doo 600 etec iron dog edition at slow speeds

I love watching your videos and I'm a big fan but when you said it only helps with cooling a little I have to disagree a bit on that.... I had a 2015 pro rmk and now have a 2016 pro rmk and if I run my scratchers up both sleds would run 150+ degrees and with them down they both run 122-125 steady... Mind you this is when the weather is -15 and +30 makes no difference.. Can't wait for the next video! 👍🏼

the pro RMK is another animal, running without scratchers is not an optionoutside of the pro and axys, a lot people never need them for cooling

cool, Ski Doo have their own, they look good in the videos. and they nicely snap into the tunnel when you don't want or need to use them.

Small bit of info for ya youtube. Lock washers don't improve the fastener unless the material is soft enough to be bit into. Bolts fasten based on tension alone. True lock washers have two washer with angled teeth against each other that increase tension while trying to loosen and cost way more...

I am having a hard time getting the old ones off... any sugestions?

On some scratchers one side tne bolt will screw clock wise while on the other side it is couterclock to prevent loosen-up. You are probably trying very hard to unscrew the wrong direction.

Must have apply the Lok-Tight otherwise those Dura flex scratchers fall off a few miles down the trail and then your awesome day goes to crap as you overheat (RMK)

Suspensions worth more than the whole sled.

Your point? Suspension is the biggest component of the sled.

Good video ... cable scratchers are junk they don’t provide enough down pressure to scratch anything they just flop around like a wet noodle.
