I never have to pull the right side rear hub to adjust the parking brake. You can make the adjustment through the slot but it can be frustrating at times. Also if the axle seal is stuck on the axle. Get yourself a long pry bar. Wedge the tip against the rear parking brake pad and pull it towards you. I do these all the time on school buses. Really poor engineering and design. You did great work.
Forget aluminum wheels. Get a set of stainless steel wheel simulators and keep the stock wheels. Just had a flat on the front of my Chevy 3500. That's a lot of fun taking a rear wheel off to swap on the front by the side of the interstate with traffic flying by at 70 mph.
Try a slide hammer to pull the seal off the spindle. I took a long flathead and bent it at a 45 about 2” from the tip. You can adjust the parking brake on the truck no problem.
Man, those look like a pain in the arse to work on. No brake adjustment, special tool required, studs through the discs, seals to replace every time. Pffftt Good job tho. Should keep it going for several more years

I am sorry you didn't find what you were looking for in this video. The parking brake is easy to adjust by turning the star wheel like any other car. The issue is that you cannot access it without pulling the drum/rotor. Hence, why the video is mostly centered around that nuance. I figured anyone getting this deep would know how to turn the star wheel themselves. Let me know if you have any other questions!
