Hi Mike, Fantastic video from the Narrow Gauge Railway, Durango & Siverton. I'm a big fan of the narrow gauge steam locomotives, especially the types C 19, K27, K28, K36 and K37. The 4-4-0 Eureka and the Galoping Goose are also included, as well as the Mogul locomotives. Beautifully filmed, top class video. Thank you for showing and greetings from Germany.
Great video Mike it’s been a while since 478 operated. Hopefully we’ll have all 3 K28 locomotives operate again someday but for now engines 473 and 476 are in operation while 478 is on display at the Durango and Silverton museum
@@CoasterFan2105 me too when I made my only trip to Durango back in August 2004 I recall 478 leading the first of the three trains to Silverton and I got to take a picture of it while me and my dad were sightseeing in town before we were to board the second train, which was our train and was pulled by 480. It’s interesting the day before engine 482 lead a special charter train on the evening when we settled into our camp site, and (where are the trucks run right through the camping area slightly North of the 32nd St., crossing which before the Safetran bell had an older western Cullen Hayes bell) flying American flags and trailing was bobber caboose 0500. That will be my only visit back when the entire steam locomotive roster was coal fired. Probably sadly something I would never experience again due to these changing times but at least I did get to see engine 478 in person There once was a time that the railroad ran five train the day for Trains to Silverton and the fifth train to Cascade Canyon when I visited the railroad in 2004, that number had reduced to three trains to Silverton, and now that number has reduced to two trains to Silverton with a third train to Cascade Canyon
Oh wait, it just takes like 10 minutes for the last part of that sentence to come up - it shows up at 7:48, a good 6 minutes and 22 seconds after that sentence is spoken.
