Yes. If wrestlers like Brutus Beefcake, Bushwhackers and personalities like Trump and Sunny are in the WWE HOF.. then Dustin def deserves to be in there because he is a way better Wrestler than them and a way better promo cutter on the mic pertaining to the personalities of Sunny and Trump. Dustin is a lowkey solid technical wrestler and has had more legendary stories and feuds than some of the people that are in the HOF. I still cant believe Abdullah the Butcher is in the WWE HOF but not Dustin Rhodes/GoldDust/The Natural?

@lamelama22
@lamelama22 4 месяца назад
@@cooperaustin6867 What he meant was by "bite the bullet" is that TK should've allowed Dustin to be part of Wrestlemania with Cody. Quite honestly, if WWE asked, TK would have been *a moron* for saying no, especially since he booked Dustin in a match with the AEW champion a few days later, and it might have helped to bring viewers to his show. WWE has reached out before for an AEW wrestler to make an appearance on WWE TV. Back in 2022 while HHH was temporarily in control, WWE had reached out to AEW to get Billy Gunn for the DX reunion, and were willing to pay $. TK doesn't care about money, so all he wanted was for the commentators to mention that Gunn worked for AEW; literally all he asked for was for them to *mention AEW*; and HHH refused. Apparently the WWE & AEW relationship soured starting then. Supposedly HHH is really bitter about NXT losing to AEW and then Vince returning & breaking up his version of NXT because it. Since HHH took over, he's been really strict about not mentioning AEW, not working with them, punishing wrestlers who talked to them, etc., and refusing to work with them or anyone from the independents. Vince apparently didn't care for 1 off appearances and special occurrences. re: Wrestlemania & Dustin/Goldust appearing: it's very likely that WWE didn't ask at all... they'd rather use their guys that are under contract, and their HOFers for big appearances, even if it made no sense storyline-wise. Another good example is that they didn't bring in Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder), Cody's IRL best friend, known to the WWE fans, doing the best work of his career, and who is available. Cardona is not under contract with anyone, and could've shown up for a 1-time fee (and would've), but they didn't ask; because he's not on their current roster. WWE is not necessarily wrong for doing that, you want to promote your guys, but the difference is Vince would want the *best product* out there, and would cut a deal if needed to make it happen. HHH & Nick Khan are apparently not.

Wrestling really can be forever when the wrestlers know what they're doing.

Growing up watching UK World of Sport wrestling I can really relate to his attitude towards the fact it's not all about the moves. I used to watch matches with a grand total of about twenty "moves" in them and was gripped. Was all about the characters and responding to the crowd. If AEW are to kick on, the young talent really need to listen to Dustin's advice and work on thier characters, slow down, and deploy the flippy flips more sparingly.

Legend and hall of famer. I had always wanted to see him in WWE's main event scene back in the day, because he was so damn entertaining. The fact that he's still putting out amazing work is inspiring Most of all, so happy for him being sober for so long. Such a great example to so many people

"Slow 'em down just a little bit. Teach 'em how to tell stories." - Dustin Rhodes That's what makes him The Natural. He gets it. We need more guys like Dustin Rhodes in the business.

This was a great interview. Hearing Dustin’s stories in the business was good. The creation of Gold Dust and the segments with Booker T were great. Working with Vince McMahon as a producer and hearing those stories were crazy. I do not blame him for leaving. This is why Triple H taking over has been the best thing so far for WWE.

Great interview! As an 80s baby, growing up with WWF/WWE, and still a huge fan of the industry - by industry, I mean WWE, although not oblivious to flanker promotions - it was nice to finally pul back the curtain (no pun intended, truthfully), on Dustin, who, for all intents and purposes, was Goldust for my entire spectator career. While Cody, in somewhat hazy hindsight, was also very invested in the character, which I vaguely remnembered had parlayed into the "ugly" angle, Dustin's career in WWE felt a lot more memorable and HOF worthy. Clearly, this refers to stint 1 for Cody, as we know that the current revival of his career with the American Nightmare moniker will garner him HOF status, no doubt. While a lot of what you hear Dustin say somewhat eloquently in this interview, it's a college grad meets a disgruntled barback having a smoke by the dumpsters need the end of his shift and willing to impart three decades of wisdom which chain-smoking 5-7 Marlboro Reds, appears tong in cheek, I do perceive a bit to truth to everything he says, even though everything he says purposefully includes a brash, yet non-nonsense shtick, that immediately at the point where his bluntly objectively rhetoric becomes a bit too real for a pleasant Chris, who's earned his respect in the industry, however I feel that is comes with a lackadaisical sense of naivete and bumbling fandom that almost invites wrestlers to pushover what appears to be a vulernable, inexperienced interviewer - again, by design. CVV has cut his teeth in the game and I am sure both newbies and greats in the industry are aware of that....and that being the case, I think they have a little bit more fun that they should attacking him for what ends up being a handful of very classic "shorts" that do nothing but boost his engagement and overall likeabiliy as a pro wrestling (can't tell how happy I am, and thus trigger happy, in using this reference over sports entertainment),...again, by design...need proof, look up the clip of his failed attempt to ask a question to Heyman/Roman after night 1 of Mania, knowing the they were aware what night 2 would hold, and Paul ws going to milk everything for what its worth being that the pinnacle of his career from ac acjknowedgement (pun intended) perspective would be comically and tragically overshadowed by the fall of his prized fighter, with which he acted as the special counsel, namely Wiseman, or very close friend outside of kayfabe, after what was one of the, if not the, greatest and most epic title rain in PW history..... top dog champ at the top dog promotion in the midst of its most prominent position not just the industry, but in sports and athletic ethos, for almost four year and 1K plus days.....yes almost 4 years in modern day wrestling.... a feat only surpassed by 3 wrestlers, and that was during an age where this stuff was not taboo, but a niche draw and place in the world of sports entertainment (I had to for effect), easily overshadowed by what most would consider to be "real sports", which still thrive today but have blurred even their lines with desired cross promotion activity, and combat sports, which today is a lot more glamorous in the media, considering it depicts grown adults besting each other to a pulp, non kayfavb, financial joint at the merger hip with WWE making themselves likely invincible with TKO, very pun intended. Dustin is proud of Cody, but accepts his role as the elder statesmen. Someone who chose to put on his boots and bring his pail to work everyday to bust his ass for the man. Not there to make enemies, but also not there to make friends, Hee's the guy that the exec team loves, and your wrestler's favorite wrestler and he is OK with that.... recognizing that Cody is cut from a different cloth. He has a presentation and verbal repertoire of a politician, the drive of a wrestler who more prefers to be a businessman, carve his legacy and remain at the top of the business, while he happily remains the enforcer...the big bad older brother, who will happily retire, collect retirement if it exists or residual royal checks in perpetuity while he fades into obscurity, likely on a remote ranch or large property somewhere like Austin, except without top tier Wi-Fi that might tempt him to jump into the podcast arena, which might be a viable option, if the revenue from well deserved years up on years of promotion paycheques begins to wear thing and, which he will never admit, he missed that big pop that he watches his little bro get weekly....which will turn to boos...like Cena... I have said before #DrusViewz ....
