From the Sam Houston Coliseum, August 12, 1982. Wild Tag War between the popular team of Dusty Rhodes and the Junkyard Dog against the villainous Ted DiBiase and Kamala. Great promos precede the match. Please comment if you enjoy this & want to see more!

You have no earthly idea, how much it means to me, to see these matches. These are my Saturday childhood mornings. There was nothing greater, than watching wrestling with my mother. She loved Dusty Rhodes. RIP to two great and loved human beings.

Growing up as a kid watching wrestling religiously, you don't realize that all these wrestlers knew each other and have worked together in the past. Its amazing. Some of them I knew but not all of them. All these guys know each other. Junkyard dog and Ted DiBiase have a rich, storied history together. I miss wrestling when it had all these different organizations and territories.

There is nothing like the classic territorial crowds. They were so invested in the in-ring action that you could hear their response with every blow their faces would give to the heels. They were so disgusted with the heels antics it made them feel like their heroes were delivering the justice with every blow they themselves wished they could deliver to the heels. I remember as a kid watching matches yelling, Get'em!! Hit that fool!! They made you so excited having the heels scurry like cowards with every attack. Man, those were the days of believability in what was going on that we may never get back in this day and age.

Many people don't remember JYD Sylvester Ritter RIP before the WWF as well as Ted Dibise Kamala & Dusty Rhodes. Thats due to a lot of wrestling organizations being shown locally not nationally. Dusty Rhodes actually spent time in the WWWF in 79 or 80 working for Vinces father.

DiBiase could really sell it. Excellent match from the golden age of wrestling.

There was absolutely no subtle racism in that pre match promo.

Wow Ted DiBiase, JYD Kamala 80s was a good time. I saw these guys in the WWF growing up. Dusty Rhodes I didn't see until we got real cable in the late 80s.
