She was an insecure perfectionist. She took 2 hours to do her own makeup and never left the house until looking immaculate. She was entitled to! She was the best. Could sing anything in any style and several languages. RIP
To find out about l her insecurities,is astonishing to me.When performing on stage, she exuded , confidence, especially in the 60's.She was one hell of an actress. I can sympathize about her distant father,and dysfunctional family system. The food fights at dinner started by her parents? Very bizarre. Stranger that she repeated them in her adulthood.The 60's were full of dysfunctionality in most families. All iv'e ever seen her performances and interviews. She seemed warm and witty& confident.
