Dutch Oven blueberry dump cake cobbler | Hamburgers on the grill.
This is something I haven't made in a long time. So I thought I would break out my 12" Lodge Dutch Oven! I love cast iron too! The dutch oven would be a great addition to your outdoor camp cooking. You can also turn the lid upside down and cook on it, and with well-seasoned cast iron, they are easy to clean.
Dutch Oven dump cake/cobbler:
12" Dutch Oven (this is what I used).
1- 21oz can Blueberry pie filling
1 pint of fresh blueberries
1- Yellow cake mix extra moist (I used 1 1/2 pk of cake mix)
1 stick of butter sliced into 1/8" to 1/4" squares.
Oil or butter the inside bottom and sides of the dutch oven.
Empty pie filling into the dutch oven.
add the fresh blueberries.
add cake mix.
Even out the cake mix and add the butter cubs all over the top of the cake mix.
Place the lid on the dutch oven and set the dutch oven on top of the coals with
coals near the bottom edge, then line the top of the lid with coals and allow to cook for
approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour (see video).
Keeping the Grill hot and Smoke Rolling!
