Here we'll compare the AB Warthog to the some of the best selling duty 5.56 duty suppressors on the market. While the other cans used for comparison are inherently different with built in suppressor QD and inconel used for extra toughness, the 5.56 Warthog shows just how well its duty characteristics show out.
Here's some info on the dimensions and price point of the suppressors shown in this video. (Includes mounting device)

That’s awesome! I love seeing comparison videos on suppressors. If I could ask one thing: I’d like to see a standardized set of host firearms.
@ABsuppressor
@ABsuppressor Год назад
That's a good suggestion. Right now, our only control variable is that the tests are always performed same time, in the closest possible conditions. We'll never compare data from a different test on a different day.

I saw it's better than turbo. Due to the flash hider being way more aggressive. And cheaper too. But they don't include a qd mount

I agree, for a more direct comparison. Since those who care about flash will not run sandman k like that. At least give the 30cal k-can a 5.56 flash hider cap for 5.56 flash comparison.

Remove the 30 cal cap on place on the 5.56 cap to have a fair review. Just saying. Those are all 5.56 minus the Sandman K but they offer a 5.56 end cap to reduce that flash.

I bought and am waiting on the 7.62 Warthog. I have 3-port YHM muzzle brakes installed and have both the YHM full size HUB QD adapter and the Kurze shorty. I am crossing my fingers on brake-to-first baffle clearance. The world doesn't revolve around me, but I think potential buyers would find comfort and buying confidence seeing the Warthog mounted up using the various different hub systems in conjunction with the muzzle devices they will mate with. In my case, with the 3-port brake and the Kurze mount..... clearance? Clear but too close? Other systems I do not know, but I assume there are similar things. Thanks for you time.

I bet you got your can. What was the outcome?
@ElsinoreRacer
@ElsinoreRacer 10 месяцев назад
@@jordaneimer2873 It came in last Tuesday. I have not been able to shoot it yet. About the issue above, it DOES clear with the 3-port with the shorter Kurze QD adaptor. But it is very close. Maybe 1/8 inch. I have been thinking if that close should bother me, and I have decided it does not. If it was the actual muzzle that close, it would, but there are three tight baffles before that (the muzzle brake itself) to strip off and divert flow. The issue is on a 6.5 Creedmoor and if it was only that I would use the deeper full size QD mount, but this will also go on a 300blk pistol and I don't want the extra length (though he extra pre-chamber would be nice). Anyway, it does fit without contact & that was my main concern.

Hey, could you come out with a modular F4? Where you have a F4 plus some additional baffles that turn it into the F4L when you want to use it on a PCC, but allows you to run a short, 4oz config on a pistol. I would love to buy both of your suppressors, but the ATF and my bank account say no.

So I planned to grab one because I like the tech behind it and what I’ve heard is positive so far, but kinda curious why you chose these to put it up against? Sandman K? Why not the Sierra 5? -It’s 4.87” w/o mount at 10.8oz, 5.72” w/XENO at 13.3oz, 17-4, included flash hider front cap but takes others. -OCL Polonium K, 4.8” w/o mount at 11.5oz, HUB, 17-4 -GA EXPLORR 224 Utility, 6” w/included mount at 9oz, flash hider front cap or the Dual-Lok HRT 556 -YHM T2/3 or K, Rex Silentium MG7 224 Just saying there are better options that resemble the Warthogs features

No response to my other question, but here is another: does use of a muzzle brake as part of the QD combination disrupt your airflow concept? Good, bad, no difference?
@ABsuppressor
@ABsuppressor Год назад
Some companies use brakes in conjunction with QD to form additional rudimentary baffles inside the front of the can. Many times, the design relies on this to perform well and suffers when flush mounted. Warthogs are designed with flush mounting first to keep things simple and light. We'll release clearances and a comprehensive video on the difference in performance from different QD brakes and flash hiders, but it will take some time.

Testing data out of context is meaningless. Peak dB is very imperfect, but at least we don't publish average dB ratings and claim they apply across the board.
