Absolutely wonderful improvement that will make using the D2 & 3 a pleasure to use, and enhancing the absolute value of this low cost telescope. Being able to “see” the night sky in real time on your phone, and select a target with almost immediate finding and tracking by the Dwarf has been the most requested “want” from the Dwarf team….. and now this Sky Atlas upgrade makes it happen! If we only had a general release date !!!

The sky atlas is a much needed step in the right direction. I would love to see the FOV while on the atlas....maybe feedback gets us that feature. A note on the tweaking of your image location from the atlas, while the big targets are circled, I noticed you can select many, many of the stars to set a center point if you don't want to center around just one target. Love the beta so far. It would seem its only a few weeks away from public release if it follows the past betas. Thanks for the videos, enjoy your content.

Thank you for the great introduction to the new star atlas! I have had the Dwarf 2 since launch, but haven't used it much since then because of the missing catalog and needing to enter everything manually. The star atlas should make the Dwarf 2 much easier to use. I like exploring star atlases to discover celestial objects, and from what you showed, it does it very nicely. I also did an early bird pre-order of the Dwarf 3 a couple hours after it was available.

Thank you for the appreciation! I wanted this feature also for a long time. Was very time consuming many times.when i had to find nebulas.with manual.coordinates, but now is very easy to find the object you want to image. Thx for this video. I love the New App. I bet it works perfectly with the New D3. At the end of August, I am really excited to compare the Quality between D2 and D3. Great work.

The autofocus reminds me of the frustration I have with the Nina auto focuser. Too many steps! Thanks for the video, going to have to give the new software a try!

Thanks for the input. I use Nina also ony main setup and i stoped using the autofocus for some time i justanual set it up in 1 minute then start the plan

I habe nt notice yet the manual coordinates will check for them last time so not sure if they were available on the beta version but if not they should be added on the official one i believe

I have watched a few videos on how to use the sky atlas, but none tell you how to get it on a dwarf 2. We have five dwarf 2's. Please advise. Thank you

I hope you can turn off Autofocusing when tracking a new target.

No Need, as i mention in the video it did autofocus only first time, on the next targets was just checking if the focus is good, i think will autofocus again only in the situation that would be defocused, but i do not see that happening, it keeps the focus good

I have a D2 that I find very convenient to use especially when travelling. I need the D2 for this coming summer and will decide after that if I want to sell the D2 and purchase the D3. I am interested in a number of new software features in the D3 that may be updated into the D2. Do you have any idea what updates the D2 may inherit from the D3 features. Clear skies.

Hello i do not have all the details yet, i am thinking that most of the features related with the secondary wide field lens will be avilable only for dwarf 3 and many other features will be available for both. Stay tuned to the channel and maybe hit the bell notification to be faster notified when i will make other dwarf 2 and 3 videos

Hello. Last.i heard the shiping should start from August and they want to habe the dwarf 3 ready as fast as possible but i do not have any fixed data could be earlier or later i gues depending on how fast the beta testing will be.

Stop and restart tracking: can that only be done by choosing a new target in the atlas or can you just move the view by a bit? I sometimes use manual target by searching a middle point in for example SkySafari Pro and, so I have everything in the view that I want to see. Stop and restart would be great if we could do that also.

True. Unfortunately i forgot to test it more that night i think once you restart the astro plan should restart tracking but have to test it more.when i get clear sky again

Hello! Yes i am tested the new sky atlas feature that is on a beta version of the app with a beta firmmware update that is not available yet for the puiblic only for beta testers, so we can test the app and new features for any errors

While it is in beta, you can reach out on their socials and ask for a link. That's how I joined the list last year. They are generally very, very responsive and I bet still giving out the links to those who ask for it.

Yes. They have the same app and sky atlas will be available for both, on other features might be difference like dwarf 3 will have available.also the wide field lens for astrophotography and video

It happend to me onnce and i had to leave it a few hours to the mains to charge untill it started.charging also could bee the battery if so you need a new battery

I put both batteries in, but still nothing,but when I plug to power supply the charging lights come on
