I'm an atheist and I think it's outrageous that this doctor is fired over pronouns .. For a start a doctor would need to know is he treating a biological male who's body has been subjected to hormonal and surgery 'trans' treatments to assess the best way to treat them for whatever condition they present with and require him to deal with. But apart from that, any person, separate from any religious belief is entitled to the accurate pronoun for a person's biological sex.

This is a company that has power over families, and she was telling me how white men have it easiest in this country (clearly something she was taught to say), right after I explained to her how my son's self worth is low. When I said I didn't braid pigtails into his hair for school one day because I didn't want him being bullied, she asked why I would have a problem with him being gay! I said him having pigtails has nothing to do with his sexuality. He's 11!!! I was also disgusted when she chastised me for telling my son I would have to call the police when his behaviour started to become dangerous. She thought I was wrong for telling him that, because that would hurt his feelings. So apparently we're not supposed to teach our kids consequences. It's madness!!!

He was not struck off as a doctor, it does not affect doctor levels one bit. He was removed from the DWP (formerly the DSS) as their medical advisor having seen a benefit claimant for a medical benefit from the DWP. I.E Long term sick pay from the state (6+ months on the sick), disability claims, mental health and/or unfitness to seek work claims. He was not sacked as a doctor he was not struck off as a doctor or stopped from being a doctor, he (as he described it) "pushed" from the DWP which is a supplemental income not an entire income. DWP doctors are like locum doctors they are certified by Govt to work for the Govt (DWP in this case) and they evaluate the authenticity of benefits claims with medical elements attached to them. Ie "I can't work I have constant difficulty holding things" (not me personally) the doctor examines the claimant to see if this is a genuine or false statement. So doctors numbers are nothing to do with this. It's about his refusal to say they/them rubbish in place of he/him or she/her. Basically a denial in biological and scientific facts to please a personal preference of an individual, and which would counter his religious beliefs. Personally, as an Anglican Christian myself I understand his perspective, however his speech or his theological beliefs are not protected because he is the problem in today's world, he is white, male, Christian and a well to do westerner. The ECHR won't uphold his claim, because they uphold the Islamic claims which use Christianity as the basis for Islamic need for protection, which is why you cannot critique Islam now, so Christian values cannot also be upheld in the same court without undermining the previous precedent set for Islam.
