Ok update 1. DEC 21 stopped working. Fix again with heat gun and added 5 fans to pull air through the unit. Also drilled holes in the side where the power supply is to cool the unit. Lets se how long it lasts this time...

Yes you can repair loose connections with surface mount components with a heat gun! That's a common trick for repairing cable line gear that contains very expansive Gasfets that have lost a connection in a trunk amp. Are you aware that you can either purchase or make specialized jigs to apply the heat only where you think it's needed without splattering heat all over the board?

Tried this on version 3.66 firmware and i'm currently stuck in recovery mode, have you got a copy of the sketch please? to see if i can get my PS3 out of recovery mode

I ran a electronics repair shop for a few months repairing xboxes and PS3s they both have this problem but it can be fixed with a heat gun/paint stripping gun but the best way to fix them is with a proper reflow station but those aren't as cheap (i used one for my job though) I loved fixing them with such an easy fix and getting $75 for an hours worth of work.

Must be a crappy repair technician and shop. The heat gun trick does not to prove to work. It is only a temp fix.Will failed again. Only way to reball the chip itself or replaced.

My Mitsubishi Expo was missing. No one could figure it out. Computer couldn't be read. Tried replacing my distributor, air flow regulator, then finally the computer with a used one - no luck. I read, if you hear a clicking coming from the computer when the car misses, the capacitors have gone bad. I took out my computer and took it to a TV repair shop. He put 2 new capacitors on it (the story is actually much longer) VWALAA! - runs like a dream.

Hello there. I'm very much not offended actually this is a great introduction to a conversation that needs to be had between many people using this platform. This place is called RU-vid because it's all about you or in this case me. Back in the day when RU-vid was just created when I made my account. You could post anything you wanted for a maximum of 10 minutes. Nowadays you can upload full feature films.
