Thanks for the review, pro tip here; use vasoline on your hairline and neck to prevent the dye from staining your skin. Also rinse your hair with cool water and never shampoo the first wash, wait atleast 3 days to get the best results. Your dye will last much longer and if you avoid sulfates in your products that will extend the life of the dye even more! I’m definitely gonna try this for touching up my red that has faded 😁
It turned out really pretty. I used to use vampire red when I had my hair longer. It was black and bleached it up front and put the vampire red on the bleached areas and it was cool, but had it that way for years and was over it lol. Now I have it short and blonde. And when I color it I use cotton candy pink from manic panic. Looks great :)
I’m sure it does! I don’t think pink would show up well on my hair, but next I’m going to try the manic panic rock n roll red and see how well a brighter red shows :)
im late but a tip- kaboom mold/mildew w bleach spray works sooo well to remove dye from surfaces & it comes out rlly quickly. ive used it to remove pink, red, blue, and purple. clear nail polish also gets dye out of your nails
The color has really taken in your dark brown hair, it looks really good. Dying my hair Vampire Red right now, My light brown roots have grown a fair amount from when I last dyed it black, so I'm hoping for a cool red and black looking colour.
Try their pillarbox red I’m a 39 yr old male with natural dark brown hair also and I could have just applied it to my natural hair without peroxiding first like I did with the proper Italian peroxide powder and peroxide. You should see my red I was worried it was going to turn out a little purple like your vampire red has and I’ll reassure you it was indeed as you’ve already suspect it to be because you put it straight on your natural hair without peroxiding. Still looks lovely on you I was however going for heart Chinese flag type red ❤Ferrari type red.
i’m stuck between vampire red and rock n roll red, but i cannot believe how nice both look! did you have vampire red fade to purple? i really would like it to stay red :)
hi!!! how long did this take to come out of your hair completely??? I tried using it, and its been about 2 months and I still have a really harsh red tint? just wondering if other people had this experience, i thought it was washed out after a few washes.
@@buutterfli1224 haha no. it left a permeant tint. its not tooo bad, its just really visible in natural/lighting and in the sun. Kind of like a tacky red tint. I'm going to have to dye over it with a permanent brown color unfortunately. I wish I'd known this before. I was kind of doing the red for fun during COVID thinking it would wash out. but i'd read on the website after that they do mention it can leave a permeant tint sometimes- don't remember if this was mentioned on the ACTUAL product. sorry ranting, but UHG I hope yours fades tho, lmk if you are able to get it out. its rlly annoying for sure as the point of semi-permanent is for it wash out lmao
@@alanalovato5563 I've tried removing it with vitamin c treatments, head and shoulders and baking soda but its stuck to hair lol. The problem with it is that my hair was half bleached and half my natural virgin hair (which is like light brown/dark blonde). Its washed out the bleached bit but stuck to my roots and looks sooo fkn weird lmaooo. I went to the hair dressers and they did a test strand where they bleached the red roots but even bleach didnt lift it out which is crazzzyyy as its meant to be temporary. Im gonna have to dye it kinda dark to hide it aswell but like u said its so annoying that they dont mention it on the actual product. We should sue them and get rich ;)
In this video I just shampoo’d before dying, then rinsed my hair without shampoo. Your hair will bleed for a while wet no matter how many times you shampoo it or don’t!
I did the exact same thing as you, but now the color won't come out. It has been in it for like 4 months... any tips? How long did it take to come out by you?
This happened to my sister and it lasted for a year the only way she really fixed it was to tone it blonde and if that doesn’t work I think the only way is to dye it back.
Sorry I know that this is a late reply... But manic panic can last well over a month depending on how often you wash your hair and how you treat it. It will fade with every wash 😊
