The fact he isn't against the modding community is a huge relief. And Tymon is brilliant with explaining things without causing confusion or causing people to have expectations. I will say though if they support modding. I'd love to be able to have a software developer kit to be able to mod the game to its full potential. I'd love to add some more parts to the map as well as new weapons. (Including guns because... heck.. Why not? lol) The software developer kits for games like Skyrim and Fallout were amazing. People could add some very unique mods to the games while also having them being easy to install. And the software developer kits were nearly limitless.
@@Zoxxies Yeah I loved Dying Light 1. Dying Light 2 I can tell different people worked on for a few reasons and that made me worry they’d be against modding. Some companies seem against it like Rockstar games lol

I am going to disagree on the fact Tymon said the retail is similar to what we received in the E3 preview, both are very different at this point. Ashame Elysium is not returning as well, wasted potential & assets there
@@nikitos3558 NPCs have dialogue about Elysium. So either Tymon is lying to surprise us in future content or actually saying the truth, which would make all the Elysium references stupid & unnecessary to add in the first place.
Maybe the E3 was more of a target render gameplay like Ac3 had. A gameplay put together with assets available tweaked to showcase what they want to bring. And they actually did bring something similair but it shouldn't have been labelled as a e3 more like a behind the scenes showcade
Weather changes would really add to the game like rain and lightning. Imagine running from zombies in the dark with lightning, it would add to the gameplay.
This would be beyond fantastic, I loved in the first game how when it rained the night got even darker, so scary, imagine it being so dark at night you can't see very far at all, that could lead to some great horror moments which I think would suite the game nicely

My main suggestion to Techland now with the confirmation that Elyseum isn’t planned is that it should be a bonus DLC 3 off just popular request, it’s just such an exciting community area at this point and it would be awesome for it to be added

I was shocked that Tymon didn't understand the comment about DL2's colors being too saturated compared to the E3 demo. Villedor and the HUD are both too colorful. DL1 had excellent colors and a mostly transparent HUD. This is something that is constantly taking away from the game. The DLC means little as long as the game feels non-immersive due to the few design flaws that are fairly easy to fix. Great interview though, straight talk all the way.

And regardless of what writers left, TL decided to change the game this way on purpose, because they bit off more then they could chew. Prosmises they couldn't deliver on in that trailer when it comes to choices changing the world.
E3 gameplay showed us Elysium, the giant arch in the background is on the maps for Elysium with an icon.. Why was it cut from the final game and pushed into DLC we have to buy later considering story DLC will be paid. But this is something im very curious about.
Probably La Puerta Market shown in 2018 trailer. However it's architecture looks too different to me when comparing to old villedor, it doesn't look like a prototype but rather an advanced version or a completely different one. There's a very noticeable mix of Modern Architecture and Medieval Architecture and there's also that PK Citadel very close in that demo and that Citadel is way over the other side of the map in retail far from old villedor. Well I don't know what happened to the Elysium area but I feel like it was very less vibrant and heavily gives the feeling of the "Modern dark ages" that techland wanted dying light 2 to show. Hopefully they atleast take it as an inspiration for what the buildings in their upcoming DLCs will look like if the Elysium area won't make it as a surprise.

I’m eagerly wanting them to add an option to change the atmosphere and lighting direction, for instance, an option for vibrant colors (high saturation and more color pallets), normal colors (the current state of the game), and gritty colors (low saturation and more darker color pallets) Another thing that they should add is the parkour music selection, where they add an option to either select a certain parkour track as a constant background music track, or a “shuffle” option, which is the current state of the game (all songs played randomly)
Techland should post a list of all the cut content and have the community vote on what content should be brought to the game like my vote for a third area to be added to the game I'd love to see the map more expanded the bigger and better
It's not really cut content like Tymon said only just ideas exept for the Scorpio and the outfit but they are mostly going to come back soon maybe in the next update.
@@cleverseal2431 but from the looks of things there was quite a bit of stuff that never made it to game but still in the data files like the blimp hanging over the Observatory what got cut out of the final version and the game is still fresh and new I'm sure they'll bring some old ideas to game if it's by popular demand besides the stuff already been talked about

dude i really love dying light 2 but the only thing that im dissappointed about is why they changed the graphics and stuff like when they showed off the E3 2019 26 mins gameplay i was like so hyped but when i played this game for the first time started a new game on feb 4 i was happy and then i played it for 225+ hours and now i feel dissappointed i wonder how it feels like to play dying light 2 like the E3 2019 version! :((( but i still love techland! and dl2
Hopefully the e3 2019 vibes and graphics come back because the e3 graphics make everything look more spooky and scarier cuz of how dark it is, tymon said they will definitely look into it if they could change the game back to e3. but hopefully they can change everything back to e3 IF it’s possible
Tymone also said that the atmosphere only looked darker because that was during a specific time of day. Meaning we probably would've still got the vibrant colors and brightness just maybe a tad bit different

Kinda would've been nice for oni to have mentioned the E3 2018 city, and how people think that might be Elysium because you can see the peacekeeper citadel/castle and that big archway or whatever it is with two sides and a top that's huge. I would've liked to hear why Tymone scrapped that part of the city from before

There is an trailer on Dying Light 2 who Aiden point his binoculars to Elysium and appears with the name: PK's Citadel. The trailer is probably older than E3 2019
14:00 I have to somewhat disagree, I feel like the vibe of the world was kinda lost, in the demo the mission was about water, the city is dying and on its last leg, and most of the world is gone, and villedor is supposedly the last city on earth, the atmosphere is much more gloomy and intense, more depressing I feel like a lot of people feel the same but that was more of a modern dark ages feel then the actual game was, the game now feels like a next age evolution and rebuilding the world feel, rather then an end of the world dark gloomy feel. I personally like the original from e3 better, and honestly that end of the world vibe would look nicer then the vibrant bright and colorful theme they’ve got going now, I think “there’s beauty in the end”.
Id like to see northern lights at night implemented as well as fog hitting the ground in the rain. Or if its super sunny and humid. Also thought what if they could implement it raining limbs and blood amd stuff. Maybe have some nights where the moon turns red implementations of birds eating corpses. Perhaps some zombies inside the deserted cars.
Can Techland please make it possible to keep the PK crossbow for new game plus? The whole reason I sided with the PKs on my first run was to get the crossbow to use specifically in new game +. I also heard that once you start a new game plus that all of your blueprints reset and you can no longer go back to your original save file. If this is true, then I won't be able to use the crossbow unless I unlock it again in new game plus, even though I'd rather give the survivors control of the districts so I can get all of their rewards for my 2nd run, or start a completely new game.
@@therealsorokie2598 Yea its really dumb why we cant have the best of both worlds. Faction choice items should stay. I wouldn't mind if all you had to do to "unlock" that is actually beating new game + twice. So the first new game + keeps all your choices so if you went all survivor, on your next new game + you keep those then work on getting the PK faction items.
Idk why I feel like we’re the only ones talking about this. I miss the old atmosphere, but more than anything the physics. DL2 is such a joke in that category, although I’ll agree the parkour is smoother. But man, I went back to DL1 to see if I was just being sentimental, but that’s not the case at all. They took such a huge step backwards with this new one, it’s really sad.
People really don't understand how much difference active ragdolls make in a game, the combat becomes so much more fluid in hit reactions, deaths and all that... Just look at RDR2 or the first dying light, the active Ragdoll physics make the game more satisfying than it already is!

Of course there was absolutely no discussion about the state of this game on last-gen systems. It's clear to me now that Techland and honestly the DL community doesn't give a flying fuck about people who wanna enjoy this game but are unable to buy an expensive gaming rig or the new generation of consoles. Every single time i bring up this issue i get hit with "just buy a ps5 lol" or "of course it's bad on last-gen lol" even tho the game has been in development and was announced way before the next-gen consoles were released. I have truly lost all respect for Techland and this community. I'm out ✌🏻

I've been loving the game so far, and looking forward to elysium and a following type dlc as well. I bought ark on xbox one when all there was to explore was the island. Granted I had the expansions for free and had to buy them when the game released in order to play those new maps again. Had already built a lot on them. But anyways I have a good feeling techland will stay ontop of this game and bring out it's potential.
Tymone literally said elysium isn't a project they plan on doing. They didn't deny it could be done but they did say they hadn't planned on working on it cuz it was old stuff they scrapped. Does no one watch the interview before commenting😂
hello Oni, and everyone, i watch the interviev witch game designer Tymon Smektała, and i very happy hearing about new ideas comg to the game, but also i wanna share about a lot of serious bugs on ps5 version of this game 1. Disappearing enemies (goon, demolisher, volotaile) its not happening everytime but inaf to make very annyoing, when i try fight with them on distance, they disappear front of my face, but not just disappearing, they stil, make noises, and attacks effects 2. At night some howlers is invisible, i can see only icon info about howler, and that howler can't be kill, becouse is immortal, and that invisible howler sometimes can see me from miles away, starts chase after me without any logic reason 3. Some legendary renegades spawn at day, sometimes glitching, i mean, i can't touch them, they don't react to me, and it's immortal, sometimes spawn too fast in they same place like before with empty chest, or sometimes chest spawn in place with other thing like other wood boxes, or other things, and even if i can open that chest, i can't loot them 4. I see from a last updates, more spawn activities with survivors, its look like survivors fight with other survivors, but they not fight they only dancing in group, and make some stupid dialogs, and all of this activities looks stupid :) 5. Please Techland give us more deep story side missions, becouse is to many challenges, and not many good, intresting, deep story side quests, witch a loot of options to resolved it, i preffer story quests and don't like to much challenges, becouse they don't give us nothing immersive. 6. Plaease come back to the game more animals, becouse without them immersive with world what your make its a lees good, and intresting,( and without logic, becouse if many people survive, and some animals like chickens, or goats, so where is the rest of animals, they can't be dead, they can't be eaten by infected, they must still leave somwhere) for example like in Days Gone (some healthy animals and some infected). 7. Please come back to the game nests with infected, dark, scary, dungeons with a loot of special infected, very hard to kill, but giving us a special reward with unique stuff, and aslo searching that nests we can resolve a mysteries about how they evolve. 8. Please also, replace side quests like Goat quiz, Perfumes, Water fight, Fish monk, to other better side quests, becouse i can be honest, that quests is boring, and stupid, sorry for that, but in my opinion its true. Maybe he said that to make people focus on different stuff. Elysium is not only mentioned in the data files but also on the Villedor maps throughout the city.
This is amazing bro, techlands such a great company, I’m glad you could get some of these questions through to the actual devs, we all get it’s probably very hard work to make tweaks like these but the tweaks they’re able to pull of they should definitely go for it, they blew all of our minds with the support for dl1 and I’m positive dying light 2 will surpass dl1 alottt in the future. Only few things holding it back for most ✌🏼

Call me insane but I’m convinced DLC 1 is going to be the Slums of harran purely because of the fact there’s a map of the slums in old villedor and Tymon seems stupidly excited about it
@@TheOneButter I disagree, I think we should go back to harran, but not where the 1st game was, if you stand on top of the tower in slums you can see a ruined huge city section of harran with skyscrapers and stuff that we never got to play it, and if we were to go to harran I would love it to be there as it fits very well with Dying lights 2 gameplay
That's probably an reused asset to make the environment look more detailed. By that logic it would also mean that brecken, lena, kaan( dead in the following dlc) and people in the photos outside trinity church would also be making a return. Also geographically Villedor is far away from Turkey, it's very unlikely that slums would suddenly appear here. My theory is that techland knows their plan to keep Elysium as a surprise was ruined and they want to make sure players don't expect it to come so Tymon indirectly tells that it's not coming by saying "Not close to the mark". Elysium is way more likely to be there than Dl1 slums for the following reasons: 1. It's inside villedor 2. According to Tymon it's a new area outside of the current playable area, look around and you'll only see the Elysium part of the map to be an area where you can place the player. 3. It's a small area, fitting the description of dlc1 given by Tymon who said that the dlc will be a small one.

I wish they add the air strafing/movement that Dying Light had. Loved that physics engine. Controlling your character in the air is fun, great if you play with a mouse - no need for the weird magnetization mechanic either. Also, I don't get what Tymon means when he says DL2 has better ratings than DL1. Steam says DL2 is at 75-79%, which is a *huge* step down from DL1's 95%.
i bought this game twice! For me and a friend! support independent developers guys! these guys are the real deal. put your money with developers who deserve it. techland listens to its community no doubt about it if theres anything i saw from this interview
I thought so too from DL1, but the release of DL2 is unforgivable, and they will not get another dime of my money. People need to stop allowing devs to release these unplayable buggy messes. Beyond that, the game given is far too different from what was originally promoted and too many changed for the worse from the first add to that pile.
Okay, Techland employee. Techland does not deserve this money. I bought this game for ps4 on day one and it's been abysmal. The game was unplayable for a month and still has major issues on last gen. On top of that coop is still busted. Ffs i launched the game yesterday and i had no audio on my ng+ save file. Great job, Techland 🖕🏻

@@ultradeathboy I mean technically it isn't and nobody is even really talking about it but me and my friends found a few things in the game hinting at catacombs such as The description of the saint Paul cathedral states "beneath it lie catacombs that hold several holy relics, most prominently the index finger from the right hand of saint Paul." The description of the church of saint John of God states "while digging in the north saint Paul canal beside it at the end of the 18th century, builders uncovered a mysterious crypt, which to this day have remained sealed, feeding numerous local urban legends." And the final thing which is actually what lead me to check the descriptions of both of those locations is there is a pamphlet from a side quest which reads "The Catacombs: The villedor Office of Tourism presents. The History of the catacombs The world's great metropolises have always struggled with the problem of buying their dead Many turned to the same solution as Villedor, the construction of a vast network of underground crypts. The catacombs, adapted from former mining tunnels in the 12th Century, they would stretch several dozens of kilometers if laid end to end, and it is believed that over half a million have been laid to rest in them, Legend has it that priceless treasures can be found hidden among the graves of the catacombs, and that secret tunnels extend to the outskirts of the city." I don't believe it currently exists as me and my friends searched every inch of the map around saint Paul Island for at least 6 hours and found nothing I also fell under the map while searching and began paragliding around below the map and never seen any tunnels Either it doesn't currently exist or the entrance teleports you somewhere that isn't actually under saint Paul Island but nonetheless I feel like that would be extremely fun if it does get added
Curious what this "solid data" was that made them change the night cycle. Choosing what time to go on missions decided more of the difficulty and fun factor. Forcing you to go out at night isn't suspenseful when the scare factor isn't there, just annoying. Edit: Thanks for the vid Oni, great job on the interview.
I get what Tymon was saying, but I honestly feel they made faulty decisions when it comes to accessibility. If there's a DL3 which there probably will be, I suggest they let difficulty options affect the spawn pool of Zombies in the game. Easiest difficulty making Volatiles as rare as in DL2 and make the hardest difficulty make Volatiles roam freely like in NG+. If Elden Ring can be more accessible while still giving the finger to absolute casuals in the name of integrity to their art, Dying Light can do it too. It shouldn't be the game's fault that players struggle with Night. The game should have faith in its players.
Dude I don't know what happened in the last day or 2 but the games graphics look feel everything seems to of gotten way better it's insane seems like I'm seeing new infected types looks as well just wowed but it had to stop just to compliment it! I have x box one and I thought maybe I was seeing things but before the graphics seemed to drastically dip and like virals seemed Pixelated now I can see them smoothe and clear wtf this is awesome graphics so much better
Please Techland, un nerf the grappling hook. Also, would love to see a Dying Light 1.2 with resumed air drops, fighting Rais faction, and new side quests. Please always support the single player off line mode as well!
If you can ask about the atmosphere of dying light two and if it will be made to match the first game and it’s depth of intensity when it came to the chases dying light two chases feel too scripted and unnatural

Hi, I wanted to share with you an idea I had while playing Dying Light 2. I really like playing Dying Light 2 without ATH so I thought it would be cool to have an animation that would allow Aiden to look at his biomarker, like in the Metro game series where Artyom looks at his watch to know when to change his filter. What about cross gen multiplayer? they said it would come after launch. I am a big fan of dying light but i want to play with a friend who is still on ps4. so of cause I want to wait for him so we can play it together. I have the game since Lauch and almost only did the intro and some exploration so far. Haven’t even seen the second Region so far.
Elysium is second dlc. But it is called "Asylum" names look like each other. That dark toned concept gave that same sort of aesthic. But like he said it will be fully developed in a completely different way. Dlc 2 will have forests and stuff like that. But also a city. But the npc's talk about Elysium. They will make what we loved into Asylum but a little different. Just mark my words.

@@markonovakovic6762 gta v from 2013 pushes last gen to its limits. You can't expect last gen to newer games like it used to 7 yrs ago. Upgrade your setup.
in DL1 there was a slider to change some visuals like for mid 70 movies or VHS or hell even black and white, so basicly this is one thing to do: make it back with additional e3 setting
