Ah, a fellow enjoyer of the bad ending. I was conflicted on which one I would choose (I had heard about them both previously) but then the mother acted pretentious, dragged me up a mountain to drug me then left, and wanted me to nuke myself, I chose to just waste her.
The "fighting mother" ending makes more sense by the fact that Kyle is a type of character who won't give up on that tiny hope of saving his friends back at harran... no matter the cost... so nukng a whole city based on some words told by a volatile/human was a no no from the start...
