I agree with this comment, but as the father who provides for his family, I can see where Jim is coming from even though he seems like an asshole sometimes. jim was a good guy, but he had his faults, esp. with Dylan.
I dont care brandon annoyed me. he brought a perfect stranger to thier house. for all he knew he could have been a pyscho killer. Brandon got on my nerves with his do Gooder ways
I can understand Jim's point of view. Jim feels that life is hard, and that he's worked damn hard to ensure his family gets the best of everything. In his subconscious he sees Jack as a failure. This was evident later on in the episode when Jim tells him to get out after Jack pushes some sensitive buttons for Jim. " You never did serve your country did you Mr. Walsh" " Get out!!" Jim's response lol.
@@BrandonClarke7 I think 90210 was glossified teen drama. They never really dug deep in many issues, or it seemed a bit bogus their take on reality. Exactly. Who would bring a total stranger from the street on Thanksgiving to their own house? Ok the part where he takes him to the restaurant i understand but to bring him home? It's a bit far fetched.
*....THAT TROMBONE!* (2:10) ..just what are they TRYING to convey!?? ...ha-HAAA!! ...and, Dylan's Dad knows how to throw that AT-TIT-TUDE back at him, hmmm!? (3:13) ...Josh & Luke look like they could've had some REAL feisty screaming matches (as Dylan & Jack), a shame they never had more scenes together.....
I really like Josh Taylor as an actor, especially for his role on Days of Our Lives. He was great on 90210, too. If I were Dylan, I would not be that miffed if my dad wanted to see a lady friend. I would have been disappointed about not having 100 percent quality time, but I would not want to begrudge my dad seeing his friend. Josh aka Jack does look like he could be Dylan's father.
He did such a good job--especially considering another actor played Dylan's dad in the first season (when we first meet his dad). I would have loved for him to become a permanent cast member. Learning how to reintegrate into society after being in prison could have been a running story line. Oh and to teach Kelly and Dylan a lesson---Jack and Brenda flirt with each other. This of course also drives Jim bonkers.
