I don't think Dylan hated being on the show as much as people say, or he wouldn't come on. He still made it fun. Ross is Ross and I don't think anyone is surprised by him much.

I just remembered why I don’t watch chat shows. Dylan Moran deals with the irritating stupid questions with humour and politeness though, full marks.

It's always a pleasure to watch a comedic genius napalmising a TV "personality" attempting at an interview.

Can we talk about how he literally predicted the modern day smart phone just in a few words.

I find this interview charming on both sides. Don't think there's any real aggression. Think they're both enjoying themselves, and it's a good buzz.

My favorite comedian, or just a very intelligent and no-BS well-spoken person. He is not trying to be funny. He doesn't laugh at somebody's else jokes to be polite. He just tells real-life stories with brilliant talent. Heck of an actor too.

I'm Dylan's biggest fan. his comedy is pure craftmanship but ; it is a talkshow that he agreed to appear on and then somehow copped out of. If anything the interview is testiment to Ross that he managed to somehow stretch it out for 13 mins of viewable television whilst always allowing Moran to stay 'in character' of the slightly troubled ,awkward , misunderstood genius... a task that even a Conan or a Letterman would certainly have struggled to achieve with such a negative guest. I think some people are missing the point of what a light entertainment host does..Ross was a master at playing the foil for his guests to shine. His interviews with William Shatner to this day are the funniest interviews i have ever watched and his friday night show at the BBC was must watch television. His carrer never recovored from the Russel brand incident.

in looking at it here, i feel like dylan and jonathan both were "in on the bit" - i swore i detected some notes of underlying pleasure old dyl was taking in during the whole affair maybe not a _scripted_ dialogue, but an agreement to 'go in a certain direction' and run with the results with no hard feelings no? is it just me? i'm not familiar with old jon ( *at all* ), though in briefly scanning the comments i note a sentiment of disdain, some hostility towards him; i'm not really interested in all that, i just want more dylan moran in my life

Why is everybody hating Wossy so much in the comments? Dylan was giving negative answers to everything ("i dont do anything, i dont own anything, i dont like anything") so Wossy was probably shooting questions in all directions to get at least some answers. As far as Dylan's standup is great, he is not a great interviewee. Maybe these are the two sides of the same coin, he is really like that and what he says in the standup is really what he means, that is his personality, so in the interview it comes like this

This clip just reminded me how awful an interviewer Ross was. He has the conversational athleticism of an arthritic toddler. It's amazing the guy managed to keep that job for so long, and be paid so much, for basically reading off a list of entirely unrelated and almost completely irrelevant questions.

IN whose opinion does Jonathan Ross present an "entertaining" show? This seems rather subjective and poss. self-serving. "entertainment" is fair enough - it might be - its objective - but that's not the same thing (Yes I'm trying to be funny)

God, took them so long to warm up to each other. Saw Dylan Moran live last year and he is showing his age a bit... his brand of negativity almost overshadows his delightful choice of phrasing. So bitter, but not as cute as the old days. Too bad, you never want to be liked for what you USED to be.

Dylan has the most incredible sexy eyes. I saw him live 7 years ago and he was genius. Dylan's bemused look when asked why he lives in Scotland makes me smile. Ross assumed it would be London.

Really annoys me when hosts have these opportunities to interview amazing individuals but repeatedly talk across them. Dylan makes zero attempts to hide how little he wants to be there haha. He really is bare nang.

Damn, this reminds me a lot of the job interviews I had with London companies... One bullshit question after the other - that sometimes demonstrate that they have probably not even glanced at the resume before the interview - instead of having an actual conversation.

Johnathan Ross is without a doubt the worst chat show host. A minimum amount of research would have told him Moran lives in Scotland and he just makes ignorant, uninformed comments about people who aren't from England, he does the same with Kevin Bridges. Love how Moran holds his own and makes him look an absolute eejit with his fantastic dry wit.

While Dylan is on another level, I think Ross does some good prodding during this interview to show what kind of comedian Dylan is.

I love how it started as Dylan Moran and slowly morphed into Bernard Black. Also, his prediction about the 6x3 inch metal device you shove up your arse is pretty spot on considering the modern smartphone and how absolutely incredibly shite it really is, as well as the fact that the modern man has his head up is arse most of the time, it's very apt.

I feel like most of this interview was insulting to the intelligence of everyone in the room.
