Three legends.. John Farnham is a GOD Is Australia so is Jimmy barnes. John singing cover of Beatles song “help” is epic.. anything of johns are great. Jimmy singing solo or as lead singer of ‘cold chisel’ is phenomenal. I love Jimmy singing “change is gonna come” but anything you react to from Jimmy would be great. He also does great duets with likes of Tina Turner, INXS and Keith urban. The guitarist is also a star in his own right and he’s name is “diesel”. ❤

If you jump into the John Farnham rabbit hole you will discover that he is all about humanity. Most of his songs are about making change for the better. And his interaction with his audience is legendary. Plus he is one artist who has always given his time freely and put on concerts to raise funds for drought, flood and fire relief.also to support other countries like Rwanda, travelled overseas to put on free concerts for our troops and perform at telethons and other charity events to raise money for childrens hospitals .... He is powerhouse singer and a wonderful human being. Check out his most famous song.. You’re the Voice, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Which showcases not only his vocal prowess but is an example of the the message he brings to the world ❤

Beautiful reaction! Having already discovered the Barnsey (Jimmy Barnes) rabbit hole, it's only fitting that you discover the Farnsey (John Farnham) bunny burrow. If you want to sample John's metal credentials, try his cover of Led Zep's Black Dog. This is John's pre-performance warm up, never performed on stage, but one day the sound engineer flicked the record switch and we're so glad he did! Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F2Yi6TVi-sU.htmlsi=gwztitRs2WejHTJH Feel better soon 💞

Not a word about John Farnham himself ! The man is a GOAT, a legend in his country of Australia . His voice range is huge, gymnastic and powerful and he sings in over twenty genres of music. But what he is really loved for is that his Soul shines when he sings, spreading the love and joy which boomerangs back to him in huge, loving fan appreciation.. John sings many songs with a message of greater good for the world. This is what he has come here to do ! The fundamental energy of his performances is in the message of Light, Love and Goodwill to and for all.

Our music has been since the 50's, your country didn't want to know abt Australian music, which began Bee Gees, Kylie Minogue, it wasn't for Inxs that travelled overseas. Here, we grew up with the American music scene and TV shows in the 50s and 60s. we had a grew music scene here then, but not anymore. Only through channels like yours and others you our best music and musician and they still sing today except John Farnham at the moment as he had mouth cancer, but he getting better.

You would have to have grown up with the “Pub” and “Club” scene in Australia since the 1950’s to understand that it’s a huge Country with a small population and that to make a $ living artists had to do gigs most nights of the week and sing LIVE because not everyone got a recording contract. Saying that, the only venue in town might be a “Pub” or Sports “Club” so everyone grew up appreciating LIVE music and the best have endured the test of time.

Thank you for a great reaction! John Farnham is one of the best singers you'll ever hear, lol, although I wouldn't say this video does him justice - the reverb on the voices is very over the top in this version, there is another version from the show Hey Hey It's Saturday which you may want to listen to in your own time, both John and Jimmy sound better in it, imo. John is absolutely beloved in Australia, it's difficult to describe what he means to the nation - you talk about light and love, and that's exactly what he embodies on a stage. If you are interested in hearing more of him, please try listening to him singing Help! with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for a good idea of what he's capable of vocally, and there are so, so many more, in all sorts of genres, if you like what you hear, and love what you see of the man on stage, as Australians do so much! If you do choose to explore more, on your channel or on your own, all I would say is always, always do John live, not studio versions!

Here is a cut and paste about John, and his friends Olivia Newton John (ONJ), Jimmy Barnes, Anthony Warlow. I saw it on 14th May at a special screening. You can purchase the CD and DVD via www.sanity.com.au Olivia features in the movie and admits John is her favourite singer of all time. In the biography movie they show him singing YOU’RE THE VOICE in front of 100,000 screaming fans in West Germany just before the Berlin Wall was brought down. He is now 74 years old, and sadly went through a 12 hour operation for throat cancer losing part of his jaw back about the same time his dear friend Olivia died in August 2022. He lost Liv and his best mate, his manager Glen Wheatley to ‘COVID’ (LOL, if only they knew) within that time frame of a few months. Glen was 74 too. He used to be a guitarist in Master’s Apprentices. It’s the same sort of history as Olivia Newton John, who was born in the UK in 1948 and came out when 5 to Melbourne. Both worked in the industry in Melbourne in the 1960's and eventually Olivia ended up back in the UK and then the US. John became the King of Pop with the 1967 hit ‘Sadie the Cleaning Lady.’ He was in the LITTLE RIVER BAND. John had his chances to work in the US but wanted to live in Australia. Queen wanted him to replace Freddie Mercury, but he declined. www.smh.com.au/entertainment/john-farnham-asked-to-join-queen-report-20030804-gdh7j9.html *Jimmy Barnes (Australia’s former King of Rock)* was born April, 28 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland. His original name was 'James Dixon Swan' and his father was a featherweight boxing champion in Glasgow. In 1961/62 his family moved to Australia. After playing in a school band (he replaced Bon Scott (who joined AC/DC) as lead vocalist in the band Fraternity. Then, aged 16 and a half, he joined Cold Chisel in 1973. First they played the pubs of Adelaide, then they played the pubs of Australia and finally they got a record contract in 1976. Now, Cold Chisel are Australian history - one of the best bands Australia ever had. They split up in 1983 because they thought they weren't playing good music anymore and they didn't want to rip their fans off with another album. Here's another jam with Jimmy Barnes and the late Michael Hutchence INXS 'Good Times' Live ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TimxLOW922o.html

You just found our living Legend. There is no one that comes close to John in 13 different genres he sings naturally. He is kind, giving, humble and funny. If you watch this again you will see he holds his microphone for Diesel, the guitarist and Jimmy’s brother in law because he doesn’t need it. You have 5 consecutive decades of number 1 albums to listen to now. John is loved.

Terrific reaction. Hope you feel better soon. So now you are beginning to find out about our musical icons. This song was released in 1991 and the performance is at the ARIAs (Aust Recording Industry Awards) Jimmy is fantastic, renowned for his gritty rock/soul style vocals, but you haven't learnt about John Farnham. You've got 6 decades of experience to investigate. John is one of the most versatile vocalists you can find, he can sing just about any genre. John Farnham started in 1967 and was still performing into his 70s until Covid shut the country down. He won "King of Pop" 5 consecutive years 69 -73, then faded a bit in the late 70s (due to poor management). John is the only Australian artist to have a number-one record (album or single) in five consecutive decades. . He has received the admiration of many international artists, such as Richard Marx, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Freddie Mercury. Brian May, Sammy Davis Jnr, Ray Charles, just to name a few. I'll drop a few links to give you a taste and warn you if you start reacting to John, the Aussie Army will flood your channel. LOL 😂 if you decide to go exploring, make sure you only watch "Live" performances, he loves his fans and millions of us love him back. He is the most down to earth person, humble, funny and extremely talented. John replaced Glen Sherrock as frontman for LRB (Little River Band) for a time in the early eighties. They put out a doco last year called "John Farnham - Finding The Voice" which broke the box office ("The Voice" is what he is affectionately known as here), he can sing anything and make it sound great First the trailer...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LocCfc5PKrE.html During the production of this documentary John lost his long time friend and manager Glen Wheatley and most loved friend Olivia Newton-John and was diagnosed with Mouth Cancer. (Thankfully he has survived and announced he is Cancer Free in Sept 2023, but still recuperating). To this time, I understand that John still hasn't watched the doco, he never watches his own performances. John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes are equally the most successful male Australian solo singers . John Farnham has mostly been a solo singer even that he had brief 4 year stint in the Little River Band in early to mid 80s . John Farnham’s solo comeback album Whispering Jack- 1986 was first album within Australia domestically to sell over 1 million copies . John Farnham has sold about 8 million records in country of 26 million. The features John massive lyrically depth anthem * You’re The Voice . Other John Farnham hits * Age Of Reason 1988. another song with deep meaning * Burn For You 1990 Written by John while on a European tour he was missing his wife back in Australia. Help 1980 Originally Help by The Beatles , John totally rearranged the music and John sing it in different key which makes it his own . This version is one best , covers of a Beatles song . John did a concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra joining he’s own band in 1988 this live version of Help is epic. * Playing To Win 1984 originally recorded while John was leader singer of LRB . It’s the only song John continued to sing from his LRB days at every solo concert since leaving the band . * When The War Is Over ( 1986 Little River Band , 1988 solo ) originally a Cold Chisel song but Chisel’s drummer jumped bands in 1984 and offered the song up to rerecorded John take the song to different vocal high . Jimmy Barnes has also sold about 8 million records within Australia, but one half with his classic pub rock band Cold Chisel and the other half as a solo artist. Jimmy’s hits * Working Class Man 1985 Written by Jonathan Cain from Journey for Jimmy after meeting him . * Khe Sanh - Cold Chisel 1978 about Vietnam vet dealing with reality , I heard Khe Sanh was Bruce Springsteen’s influence to write Born In The USA . * When The War Is Over 1982 Cold Chisel . Yeah record by John Farnham twice. But the original with guitarist Ian Moss smooth vocals and Jimmy Barnes range is classic.

If you love Jimmy here - you're going to love him more in front of his original band 'Cold Chisel' - the greatest rocking band out of Australia. 'Wild Thing' live at the Last Stand 1983 - probably the greatest live track ever caught on film. Must see. Then disappear down the deep, deep ,deep rabbit hoel.

John is an Australian Icon. He is known as the Voice. Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham reactions should be live as their performances are a show in themselves. John can sing any genre from pop to opera. This is a Sam and Dave song from 1969. ❤❤ Jimmy got to sing a duet with Sam a few years ago, PLEASE listen to Soothe Me. ❤❤❤❤❤

The third bloke is Johnny Diesel who had his own solo career and is Jimmy's brother in law. Diesel sings both rock and blues...great voice and excellent guitarist too. You also need to check out Jimmy's band, Cold Chisel...it is that good that they had 2 lead singers which sounds ridiculous given that Jimmy is one of them but the other bloke, Ian Moss is also great. Check out Bow River live at Ringside...you will love it. Chisel has 5 decades of music...all good and all excellent live. They are legends in Australia.

The Wolf & the melody _ Tommy 😊... just came back for a second comment lol ... sorry... but, just had an afterthought, after my original comment... if, by chance, you choose to... the solo guitarist/ vocalist in this video, is worthy of having a bit of a look into also... if you're that way inclined... Diesel... is actually, Jimmy's brother in law...but, a known name in Australia also... all 3 of these gents... 😊

Yes, love is for the brave!!! Let's all get brave together ❤️... what a reaction video... and yes, this was my own personal first time, viewing a reaction video from yourself, dear wolf ... sorry, because it's my first visit & viewing, I just forgot your title name, but, amazing review... I just really enjoyed your thoughts and conversation in this video, to be honest... thank you for this video... hopefully, you may take a little more of a listen, to John farnham... he can sing /perform some truly magical things ✨️... as can Jimmy... but, if you haven't ventured through John's play list.. please do your own research, and see/feel , what you might want to try and take a listen to... at least once... even if you narrow your search down to say, maybe 3... see what you think_feel... from an Aussie... who loves both John & Jimmy.. you won't be disappointed, promise... love from Australia , V 😉

You're very caring, no doubt 😁. Yes, we need a world surrounded in love. History though proves that humans cannot achieve it. Our Creator foretold what our times would be like before he ends human rulership over the earth. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) Then we will work with God, who is love, and love will rule forever on earth.

One of my favourites. This was released in 1991. Brilliant. It is actually a cover of Sam and Dave’s song. Jimmy has done a duet with Sam Moore called Smooth Me. The guitarist who joined in singing at the end is Jimmy’s brother in law, Diesel aka Mark Lizotte. Jimmy is my favourite artist ever. I wonder if you’d like this version of this song Jimmy did with his band Cold Chisel a decade earlier in 1982. First singer in this clip with the guitar is Ian Moss. Jimmy has a red shirt. There is plenty of obvious talent here, but I am not a fan of R&B, which is what this is. They can both sing really well but I do not like this style of music so this is not for me but the guitar was good.
