I used to drop this in my lowrider regal in South Florida in the mid-late 80's two 15 inch EVM's. Sounded like a concert in my car. Love the 80's and miss it too....
This song came out in 1987 when I was 23yrs old sporting a red 1986 Hyundai Excel GL 4dr Hatchback and I thought that I was the man🤔😁🤣. That car was around $6,000 brand new. Now 36 yrs later with 6 kids and 13 grands and a grey chin...where did the time go? I'm thankful that I'm still here and this song is still hitting hard! Be safe out there because times have certainly changed! Much love and respect to all🙏🏾✌🏾♥️
You were the man! You were the Dude me and my friends were hear coming down the block and as you rolled by we tried to not look and act like we could not hear anything, lol. Truth is we wish we were you, ha ha ha. The good ole days, Time Flies!
Hip hop back then was pure expression. Truly came from the soul and heart. Today, everyone is just trying to make a buck. Compared to the 70s and 80s, hip hop today is garbage. If you're reading this, that means you are listening to the evidence to back me up.
As an Italian American I say this with all respect..Old school hip hop was created by the hood, for the hood, ...and it was overall more positive BECAUSE of that
I remember cruising on my Cadillac Hollywood Blvd Saturday nights jamming this song with my 12"s and my 6X9" pioneers clean deep bass and clean lows twetters, what a great times...
Verdammte Axt....bin 70er und bin mit den Liedern großgeworden...Bin froh drum, war meine chaotischste und beste Zeit auf Erden.Bin stolz auf die 80er,daß ich ein Teil von sein darf:)
Actually the "Miami Bass" sound is originally from Southern Cali. The Dj's from LA went over there & Miami loved it. Even 2 Live Crew are all from Riverside, Ca. except for Luke. Luke signed them and then joined the group, but they already had there sound going on here in Cali. Egyptian Lover was a major force in LA at the time too, even producing Rodney O from Rodney O & Joe Cooley's first demos. Rodney O & 2 Live all went to High School together in Riverside. So it's from IE/LA Cal, but it just took off in Miami, hence the reason 2 Live Crew moved over there. FACTS!
It is still so so good. I always had trouble identifying it because of all the various samples from Kraftwerk or Egyptian Lover etc. thank you RU-vid I never would have found this again.
This is just the tip of the ice break. There were so many phenomenal remixes that come out in the 80s & 90s that is not on RU-vid. If I wished i was more careful with my CDs back then because I could’ve uploaded it to RU-vid.
I was stationed at Macdill AFB, Tampa, FL. Club called the New Lounge use to bump this all the time. I dj myself. I still got the vinyl!!!! Rest in peace DJ Kenny K. Tampa's DJ in the 80's

@@PoptimusPrime.i was a kid in florida when it came out and we always considered it bass music...it was one of many dj mixed songs that was common in our area. we had never heard of electro music...
From the old tapes to 2021 djs...ha llovido mucho sin embargo nadie ha superado esa linea de bajo tan caracteristica, esa pegada del 808 y el vocoder... Al nasif, recless y electrick kingdom...
This must be one of the most popular scratch effect segments of all time. Often used in live beat mixing back in the day. It deserves a higher pitch. +20
Wow nearly 30yrs on a superb classic 80s of break beats tribute to the Electro series by Dinaminx 2 yes was back in 1987 old 4 ever give the DJ a break
Picked this up on a white label from Groove Records in Greek Street one Saturday afternoon and played it to the crowd every night thereafter. That bassline is probably why I now have tinnitus in my 50s.
Gosto muitooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo que issoooooooooooooooooooo ouvindo e amando ouvir em 2019 e em qualquer ano que o nosso Deus nos permitir valeu !!!
Yes you are correct, L.a./Miami owned the electric beats. L.a. had Egyptian lover and a young dr.dre at that time so L.a was the king of electric funk and then came Miami a few years later never the less this shit was the cut.
I was playing this vinyl record on the turntable and it exploded into bits! I contacted the record company and they said there was nothing they could do about it!!!
I first listened to this track in 1987 the brilliant dance floor burner Dynamics 11 Give the DJ a break of the underrated tracks paying homage to the Electro era before the start of House music ultimate classic. Then Nitro Deluxe Let's get brutal came along.
Saw break dancing & record scratching as a kid in 1983, age 5, never could I be the A&R guy or a cog in the musical machine, these beats can entrance u.. Respect to AnYone making organic sounds
Got this the day the record shop Bluebird records Edgeware rd London got it in, it was playing while I was picking out other tunes (electro) walked up to the counter and said I'll take that as well
