Alexis visits Blake to ask for his assistance in convincing Amanda to marry Prince Michael of Moldavia, however Blake is angered to learn that Alexis has a business deal resting of the successful marriage.
Cupcake95 N.J.S same here. My mother and I no longer speak. Long, painful story but I hold on to the great memories like watching this show. We loved Alexis.
I used to watch this with my Dad. He would sit in his Dad recliner, and I-the geeky teenager-would be just hanging out on the couch. Those were the days...
No kidding Alexis, we all know you'll be back. Half the Dynasty clips here are Krystle asking Alexis what she's doing in her house, throwing her out of her house, or telling Alexis never to come back to her house again. Someone should do a compilation.
Alexis always had the hottest chauffeurs and male secretaries. And there was a revolving door of them. Loved how she always called her secretary by the previous ones name.
But somehow as someone who was obsessed with the original. I complained, but still watch the new one for one reason "the daughter " In the reboot is quite a "good copy" of Joan Collins
I really wish I could turn back the clock to those good old days watching Dynasty .And Alexis was my favorite and I am really happy that she is still in good condition even after 35 years.
"Most of the people that you love happen to be my children!" "Funny how that worked out, isn't it? Maybe if you spent more time being a mother and less a manipulator, you'd have more of a relationship with them!" You're welcome, Krystle.
@@PaulMaxim-hz6is To a certain extent, I can give her a pass. Blake *did* take her children away from her. She missed out on Fallon and Steven growing up. And I can see how her pride would have been hurt by being replaced by Krystle, someone from a much lower socio-economic class than hers. But Adam is about the only one of her children that she hadn't screwed over at this point. She interfered in Steven's marriage to Claudia pretty much from the start. She sabotaged Fallon's relationship with Mark for no reason other than she thought Fallon could do better. She didn't even acknowledge Amanda was her daughter until Amanda was an adult. It's hard to find any sort of justification for any of that.
Greece....Johnn Forsythe....Mr Forsythe brought beauty and class in dynasty with linda Evans as well....We surely miss those days we were practically kids!!!!
The 80's was the best time of my life!! This show was just great!! The clothes. Nolan Miller was a great designer and a wonderful man... Just beautiful outfits on gorgeous women!!! ❤❤❤❤....
+fwdthinker I think that would have been a safety hazard for the other members of the household (aka the children, the servants, etc) with bits of broken glass lying around. But yeah, I get what you mean. XD
That’s assault Krystle, that’s assault. But I bet where you come from that just an every day greeting. Why don’t you go stenograph something for the help... your people!
Personally, I’d have literally thrown Alexis down the stairs and the flowers in vase after her! Or at least given her a good shove on her way down! Lol 😂
+T James Actually no, he demanded that Fallon *fix* her marriage to Jeff, to make it work. Fallon married Jeff of her own accord (she agreed to marry him so that Cecil Colby would bail Blake out).
The original poster is essentially right. Blake strongly encouraged Fallon to marry Jeff while he was working on a deal with Cecil and both were dangling the idea of a "union" between the two families. Fallon wound up taking the reigns, herself, but the marriage was absolutely a loveless "deal" that her father tried to push her into so that Cecil would bail him out and as a means to control her raging libido. Season 1 Blake did all of this and a lot worse.
Yep I agree. It’s almost dumbed down at this point to REALLY air-headed 20 something’s with really short attention spans. They need to look at the show Succession to see how to really make a good drama like that nowadays.
I never noticed how Krystal is physically stronger and manly. Compared to Alexis quick mouth. Also Throwing the flowers 💐 at her was dramatic. What a waste of flowers.
@@harperstacey9604 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thank you for letting me know your opinion. I am sure in the time she was the it girl of high fashion with her trim figure. I bet all the women wanted be Krystal to wear all the designer garments. In fact I recently heard a BBC radio presentation on the Dynasty reunion after all these years. Linda Evans mentioned about the fashion and jokingly said "the fashion was getting manly looking with the shoulder pads. They both looked liked football players". She laughed 🤣 😂 😆 maybe it was the fashion of the time?
@@harperstacey9604 In real life the two actresses were friends. They used to go on holidays together ❤... how sweet. They are both great actresses. But together they were the main point of the show. All these cat fights! Lol. I can imagine how fun it was to work with a friend. Bravo to Krystal! You throw the flowers at anyone you like queen of high fashion of the 80's. All hail the big blonde bombshell of day time television of the infamous 80's. The show would have been canceled without them! Bravo to both Linda Evans and Joan Collins. Such fun conversation we are having :) Look up the interviews with the two actresses. It is very entertaining to hear their point of view on their experience on the show.
In the real house, Filoli, there is a small terrace that overlooks the front courtyard. The door on the left side of the landing leads to a guest suite which also opens onto the terrace. The door on the right is to a closet. The staircase on "Dynasty" is a mirror image of the Filoli staircase to reduce the number of camera set-ups. The staircase was widened and moved opposite the foyer at the start of season three.
This is a perfect example of why Dynasty went on a steady downward spiral after S4. Alexis has a few good lines, but things fall flat since Krystle doesn't have equally good lines. After S4, Krystle was spayed, Alexis made more sympathetic, and there just wasn't any conflict between them. Their face-offs came off as forced and irrelevant. Still fun to watch, but the show was obviously going through the motions at this point.
If you're an up and coming inspiring actor or actress, and want to know how to dominate a scene and take control, then, just what Joan work. THE BITCH IS BAD. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT!!!!!!!!!
This clip shows just how conniving, deceitful and hateful Blake Carrington really is. His smirk at the end confirm that Alexis knows him inside and out. I don´t know what Krystals excuse is. She married her wealthy boss and spent 8 seasons chasing Alexis around. Love how Alexis never backed out from a fight.
no, the smirk was because Krystle proved her love. They were having issues over Sammy Jo's father Daniel Reese, who was brazenly chasing after Krystle and Lady Ashley, who was brazenly chasing after Blake. Blake kept telling Krystle he and Ashely were just friends but refused to believe Krystle when she said Daniel was just a friend. Vexed, she and Krystina left the house. He was afraid Krystle wont come back but with what she did in this scene, he was reassured. Next scene was them making out on their bed. 😀 I watched the full episode.
The whole Amanda appearing out of nowhere and the royal marriage storyline is when this show truly jumped the shark. Ridiculous storylines with 0 credibility. It’s a credit to the 3 Leads that the show remained successful despite the campy writing.
