Between working on mom and dads new C10 project and putting the engine together for the Malibu, it’s been hectic here. But we finally have the 421 ready to go in the car after cranking it up on the Dyno!
Back when bill went to get those 400 sbcs i put up a comment about my wife probably having cancer. To an overwhelming and tear jerking response. Happy to report shes now cancer free. A surgery is needed to prevent anymore scares but we are almost out of the woods. Figured id update for those who remember
When miss Vicki started laughing when you we’re getting her flustered. During the 2nd stage chipmunk pull. Had me rolling Bill. Great vid , cool giveaway. You guys are such good people. You deserve everything that’s being blessed your way. Thanks for letting us into your life.
The sound of your new 421 is literally why I got hooked at 7 years old on everything with a engine!! Sounds so good, nice job!! Also chumpy is such a nice guy man it kills me when Jeremy is mean to him.. it would be nice if he brought him a coffee or something one time.
Mark is such a saint of a parts man Alot of parts guys and gals go well beyond the job to make it happen. Big shout out to all y'all . Ya keep dreams alive Ya better start thinkin' bout a roll cage Billy boy.....she sounds rowdy man
Nothing better than a thumping sbc in the morning it definitely sounds healthy and the numbers are a awesome starting point I'm so happy for you Bill looking forward to seeing you making hits. I had a k10 back in the day I can only imagine how happy you're dad will be to be able to drive it. How funny that uncle bucko wants to kick everyone in the nuts and the chip munks at the end you definitely make it entertaining Bill best of luck,God bless and as always be safe 👍
I love this channel! You got every type of character and story. Mark at A1, so entertaining how he deals with Uncle Bucco. We need more Mark's in this world. And Kenny fricken Powers! And Squirrelly with the biggest heart. You guys are hilarious. Keep the great work Bill. I'm going to work on my Harley now and wait for the next video.
✨✨Hey Bill ... Your stress level seemed higher than the clouds ! I started to feel YOUR Stress myself ! 🥺 My dad had heart problems like yours, and my dad is gone now. So we need to be careful about stress my good friend. Nothing is worth having a heart attack over. Nothing You take it easy ok? Everything will work out. Remember to ENJOY what your doing. Fretting only steals your Joy and puts a big load on the engine ( ♥️ ) that is more important than any car engine. Take care ! 👍👍👍
I swear you two kill me! Nothing like a good laugh in the morning! Congratulations on those numbers, crackabarrel gonna be flying fo sho! Shirts are badass too!
Great video Bill the motor really sounds crisp and I know with your tuning capabilities you will probably get another 40+ hp out of it I'm predicting 600 to 610 hp. It sounds great can't wait to see you make a hit. Hope you miss Vickie and the rest of the crew enjoy your time at PRI stay safe and good luck your friend from Louisiana Rick 427
Nothing like leaving a little power on the table huh with a little tuning there's a lot more there I can tell that heck that motor's only been to a couple of heat cycles it's not even good and sealed up yet the Malibu's going to be twist and flex especially on the gas turned out to be a really nice motor good luck
I was expecting more than 550 the bottom line is how well it runs and the times it runs so dyno horsepower are impressive but low times at the track is better not bad mouthing you new setup but l think a LS3 stroked to 416 should easily make 620 crankshaft horsepower and probably closer to 640-650 if it had a healthy hydraulic roller cam and 11.5 to one compression not saying the 421 small block will not run very well
You have to love having a guy like uncle BOB around I seen that look on his face when he was just listening to the motor talk to him that's many years of honing your craft to do that amazing to get to see him in action I can't wait to see it all buttoned up nitrous on it and hopefully you'll bring it back to Milan in 2023 and I'll get to see it in action in person
Engine sounds really good! The guys sure got you going by asking about painting those headers. 😆 Hope everything goes back together good for PRI. Have fun and be safe.
Hey Bill how about that 421, It made really good power to bad time didn't allow for more tuning. Now we need a complete run down on the parts used in the block and heads. Love this dyno video !
That's a super nice engine Bill, I know Bobs dyno is very conservative. That engine is making closer to 600 plus pretty easy I would say. Love your family. Yall are such an inspiration to us all. Thank you.
Sure is exciting to hear a new build come to life!! Heard my new 406 on the dyno for my 79 Malibu last month (549hp 525tq) on 110 but plan on e85….. Love watching your channel!! Keep it up Ole Man!!
Wow, that sounds good on the dyno. Can hardly wait to see it perform. And with that it's goodnight from me. Thanks for the update, stay safe, and God bless!
You know I usually don't buy just for the give aways.. but if you keep drawing for miss Vicki's cookies, we might have to make sure we're entered in everyone.. id like me a atm carb but id love me some of them cookies!! Lol I bet them cookies are choice
That 421 sounded really crisp & healthy once she was correctly set to 36 degrees of timing on E-85, but Uncle Bob, Krylon Kenny, and Uncle Bucko each owe Ol Man "just 20 degree of low timing Billy Boy" a free kick in the nuts, for delaying the project an extra 35 minutes and cheating us (but, mainly that worry you momentarily put Uncle Bob McVey through along with the extra gray hair), out of an extra dyno pull or 2. But, at least we know it did not flatten a lobe or 2 making that huge bigly Billy mistake on the first pull. You are no rookie, but that was an overlooked rookie mistake, so Uncle Bucko, a quick free kick is in order, so do it from the rear the first time he (big brother), bends over back at the shop for the minor delay. It is rare, so get in the shot that was earned. Bob is a hero, along with Jegs, Mark at A1 Auto Parts, and the master blaster small block Chevy designer/builder 20 degree ol' timer himself that worked up the combo to begin with. Mission almost accomplished on a self imposed very tight deadline, now here is hoping you get it in the PRI booth timely Old Man! Selling the old bullet was a good move, building the new 1 was a good move, and I would have done the same (with 1 condition, delivery right after PRI), as that offer to display was accepted before the offer of selling. Luckily though things so far are working out OK, and praying nothing goes wrong from this point forward, and you must deal with it if it does. Indiana roads are not going to get any smoother, so travel safely ok! Enjoy PRI folks.
Bill my days off work consist of me getting up, come down, jump on my laptop and eat my breakfast and watch any new videos. Then i jump on Billys after that next gen. When i finally finish there I check out what Tony and Tess got going on, then I'm finally ready to hit the garage working on a 92 sonoma with a 385. You all should come down to Atco raceway, NJ.
That thing sounds soo damn good and crisp nothing sounds better than a well tuned sbc damn it man I gotta get on my hotrod adventure asap. As soon as Christmas is over its sbc and hot rod time for me!!
Wow Bill, your 421 lit right off! Outstanding!! Nice numbers once you corrected your timing issue, will be a beast on the juice. Congratulations to the winners. Mark has the patience of a saint when dealing with Uncle Bucko.🤣 You have a great group of men around you Bill, Mark, Terry, Kenny, Bob and we can`t forget the man who loves to kick `em in the nuts, Uncle Bucko. Miss Vicki is a jewel. You are Blessed Sir. Stay safe all, God Bless.
Your engine sounds Sweet and can't wait to see it in the Malibu and you driving down street and I like watching your videos you guys are awesome people and God bless you guys
Hey Bill! Man that 421 sure sounds heathy!! Can’t wait to see how it performs in the Malibu. Uncle Buck O sure gives me a kick. Your Dad’s new truck is really looking sharp can’t to see the look on his face you guys finally give it to him. Such a deserving man. Stay safe😀😀❤️
I just love building new combinations and engines... it's always nerve racking when you light it off for the first time but when those lifters pump up and all is good there's ne better feeling. Good work and that things gonna be salty with a big shot of nitrous!
Very awesome video I can't wait to see how the motor runs in the Malibu it's going to kick a lot of people in the nuts keep up the good work my friend stay safe be blessed
I love watching you guys. Like family 🙏 Thanks for always sharing your family, your friends, to the world.❤️ Have a wonderful beautiful day 🙏 Stay warm and safe.🫖☕🌅☺️
My Lykins motor sports 311Ford made 535 hp on 93 octane pump ⛽. I would be disappointed with those numbers for a 421 with all that compression. My 311 is a 10.5 to 1 motor with 185 AFR heads.
