Please test the monster ram vs stock on one of your sessions and post the results. If you need one I can send you one, but I would like it back.

Got a question for you. My 1991 first gen is having troubles with oil pressure. When it's warmed up and I'm decelerating, it almost dies coming to a stop and the oil pressure gauge drops to nothing. But pressing back on the throttle picks the gauge back up to the line before half. The motor's got 400k miles on it is what I was told. Any information would be great! Thanks

Any thoughts on Medium duty trucks??? Like improvements on air, fuel, exhaust just for longevity sakes, I'm fine with it running the way it does, it's a putter and it can go 75 on the beltway. I thought about taking off the front of motor to address that ( KDP) change out the water pump while there and do the thermostat. I seen something on the heater grid bolt. Its a 1999 F-800 with a 5.9 Cummins And it runs just fine, located here in Baltimore MD,but need to travel to western Pa with those 6% grades.

I've had a few F800's in commercial fleets, you can do the basics like you think. First move is to make sure you're starting with a well built crate or rebuilt, not hot rodding an old tired engine. Are you thinking of the 6.7 issue with the heater grid bolt? The thing with the F800 is the fact that it is not like an F350. The diffs and the transmission are medium duty. The best performance bet is to improve the transmission. If it's a 5 speed Allison automatic, the upgrade would be a 6 speed. If it's a manual transmission, how many gears? If it's a 6 speed, you may want a 9 or 10 speed to give you more choice for those hills. A 10 speed is a 5 speed around town, but the splits really help on those hills. Rear end gears appropriate for the mountains can kill you on the flats depending on your load and vice versa. If you're not on long hauls, a middle of the road rear end ratio will make a difference.
