I think in every country in the world should have assisted technology for adult people with dyslexia help read and write mandatory. In school, All kind of libraries, courthouses, State House, government buildings, trade schools, organizations that help you find jobs, Banks, credit union colleges. I believe we got far in with helping dyslexia people but not enough for the adults that's dealing with it everyday.
Tailing the instructional materials for individual students essentially if a resource teacher has 14 IEP students and 15 student based learners with IEP's meeting deadlines and std meeting every week is insane to expect a teacher to "invent a education program by experimental means" for those students. mistakes will happen which administration is very unforgiving and count the failures more then the success.
My cousin most likely has dyslexia, because he is behind in school in moslty reading subjects. My grandma asked if i could tutor him sometime only being a middle schooler myself. My cousin really loves me and im his favorite person to hang out with. He is 7 yrs old, and is being bullied in school because he is behind. The teachers arent helping extra with him, and just told my aunt that he was behind. He doesnt like my grandma, and his mom has work to do. He would think of it as something fun if he was doing it with me.
I was diagnosed in the early 70s I did have a teacher who knew about this back then she helped me to get this right my issue still is maths just can’t remember it I have tried over the years and now computers forget it I do not retain the information and it’s to much to know to do things on them it’s over load for me
I whent through all the schooling and no one ever mentioned my dyslexia I always thought I was stupid and got in to trouble and put out of secondary school
