were you ever able to get this issue fixed? my grandparent’s dyson never had this issue.. the belt’s been blown to pieces so it was fun cleaning that out for them. lucky for me, if they say i can fix it, i can keep it! they have a cordless Ultenic stick vacuum now.
It still works, I just hardly use it anymore. It's just not a good machine for surface debris or reliability, but it does clean well. But a Ball Animal 2 or 3 would be a better choice
From my experience they clean better on medium pile and short pile because when u use deep pile the brush roller goes out from the base plate and it gets no seal so it doesn’t pick up surface debris
“The airmuscle technology is very convoluted and hard to work on.” I say a more accurate way to put that, is that it requires a bit more effort than other models. The brushroll is not impossible to get out, it’s just fiddly. What I really need to do to get brushroll out is to remove the belt guard. But to do that I need a special kind of tool to pry the belt guard off without damaging it. PS I’m Autistic and I may be challenged, but I’m not stupid.
