This repair should only be done by suitable skilled or qualified persons. The motor used in this video is part number MO44

We do also have the cheaper Chinese made motors part number MO49 but where ever possible I would rather install the better quality motor.

The upright motors are more difficult that the barrel vacuums for sure.

If I get one in for a repair I will. Generally I have to just video the interesting ones that happen across my desk.

I attempt to take my dc14 apart and It still works after I put it together

Thank you Alec :-) This is the second time I have successfully followed your very helpful instructions to change a motor in my (2) DC04's. Though I am quite handy with the tools I am now 60 and widowed, and counting the pennies! Huge thank you! x

If my dc 14 dies in he future I might get a new motor and take it apart and watch the video the same time
