One of my favourite dysons is the dc05 Motörhead it’s fantastic, also the reason the tools have the funny fitting is so that they fit the 05 Motörhead and later dyson cylinder tool fittings.
DC05 was a huge improvement over DC02, I'll agree the exhaust is a very weird set up. Apart from a few niggles it's almost a perfect vacuum, very capable and nice to use. This was definitely more powerful than a Microlite, they're around DC02 level of power.
One very colorful Dyson, now that I became a vacuum fan because before I just like them. I notice that all Dyson improve one model after the other of course some had fail that’s the destiny of innovation but looks like at the time DC05 was release was a very innovative but some good things some other let’s say nice try anyway at least has a bunch of colors.
