The difference between a quality system and elcheapo is the predictability of the max capacity and run time of the device. Most people get grumpy when the battery is only performing at 75% of its new capacity after 1000 cycles.

The crevice from Roger's V6 Fluffy or his other V6 should fit it - I was surprised to see the exact same combination tool that they supplied with my V6 - I thought to myself - did they really date back as far as 2006 for the V6 style tools.

Oreck and Gtech have bagged hand held models, not to mention some Hoover Dustettes. I think the Dirt Devil Handy used a bag too.

My favourite Dyson so far has to be the new Ball Animal 2, followed by the Light Ball. The Big Ball Cinetic cleans well and can be found on offer at the moment, but it is noisy and heavy.

The bracket normally attaches to the wall via screws.

Thanks for reply, worked it out there is a little clip that you assume should be pulled away from the wall that releases the body of the holder to the wall bracket, actually you press towards the wall and it releases the clip.

From reviews I have been reading, some of the V6 batteries have become duds after 2 years as well, so I think it must just be a common problem with these batteries - with constant rapid discharging and then recharging, with some people doing a full re-charge cycle every single day, if they used the handhelds a lot, this would add up to over 700 recharge cycles in just 2 years. Many rechargeable batteries only have the ability to sustain 750 - 1000 full recharge cycles before they become unable to hold a charge, and are expired.

I would agree - mine lasted 18 months

the dc16 has weak suction, due to it not having a digital motor. it can not use a tube. Get a dc35 if you want a cheap stick vac, or a v6

Well to be fair I read the listing again and I got everything pictured and they said it had been used once or twice. I didn't know it wasn't the original combination nozzle though, until several people pointed it out.

Are you going to buy the V10 for him? Perhaps you should learn to ask nicely and not assume he is going to spend a ton of money on a vacuum simply because you demanded it.

It’s a high priced vacuum, $1000. A bit much to spend just to review it. Unless there is a way for fans to sponsor a vacuum and contribute through PayPal or similar for its purchase. The v10 is the first Dyson that has interested me, mainly because I think it’s bin size is finally large enough to be worth consideration

Dean Hunstock well roger should be head hunted by Dyson for a proper review. But his honesty might not be the best PR for the V10 which seems to have many unspoken limitations. Unfortunately Dyson have sent out review units to many tech vlogers who usual do computers and etc, and they do silly things like break up a single biscuit and then act amazed when it sucks it up 🤷‍♀️. Oh well. Dyson is a shady company, being very secretive about battery life and replacement and the vacuums ability to suck up fine particles like flower which it can only handle “very small amounts” whatever that means. The manual is written in a way that things that a Normal vacuum could handle would void the v10s warranty. Dyson can’t cope with all the complaints from the handhelds failing so expect a 100 minute wait on their help line.

At least it was a polite request.
