Wow, now that I've seen this video I know which one to get. Was looking for a new hoover, will show all my friends this video as we're all buying hoovers right now! Thanks Matt!
Good job. Production has improved too. Definitely a good test comparison in two major brands. I prefer Shark but Dyson has come in strong here. Don’t forget to put those links to buy in the description. 😁
We used to own Small Ball but sold it as it has few negative points that are really annoying. Firstly, suction reduces while using the hose. For example vacuuming first step is easier but when you reach top of your staircase tangle free turbine spins much slower which means it picks up pet hair less efficiently.. Don't know why they changed tool storage. The system on DC40 worked perfectly. It's a bit annoying when you need crevice tool but have to move upholstery tool first. Besides the bristles on crevice tool very often get bent when you put the bin back on. There's no any option to vacuum under furniture. On older models like DC14 you could twist upholstery tool and vacuum under various angles. On this model you can't do it. Same with dusting brush. It's too long for many places. Those extra tools don't seem to be useful. Large dusting brush doesn't have a right angle to vacuum under things etc. I actually asked Dyson how are we supposed to vacuum under furniture and I was told to get their cordless cleaner.. Filter definitely stays clean for much longer than on Shark but cleaning the shroud can be a real pain. I noticed yesterday that they released Light Ball Animal under new name Small Ball Animal 2 with tangle free turbine and reach under tool for £249. Much better tool combination than with Allergy model why is it more expensive?
Problem with Dyson and the reason I have stopped buying them is that they are bagless. How can something be good for allergies when a puff of dust comes out every time you empty it? Then debris can get stuck in the bin and you find yourself poking inside it to get it out. Dyson pick up is amazing, it’s just the emptying that lets them down.
Hi Vac Mat Which would you recommend? I’m a great fan of cordless but sick of Dyson as every one I purchased has the same intermittent power problem. John Lewis has a Black Friday on both of these and wondered which one should I keep. I ordered both: Shark IZ201UK Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum Cleaner or the corded version Shark HZ500UKT Anti Hair Wrap Pet Corded Vacuum Cleaner. Please can you advise? And which is more powerful? Or do you not recommend either? Thank you so much for your invaluable insights... so grateful and appreciated. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are terrific!
More interesting and useful content doing comparison tests of the two machines. Was surprised they are both corded, had expected both Dyson and Shark to have switched to cordless/battery machines It's qualitative but a bit more about ease of use, emptying the bin, battery life, colours, other similar machines etc. How about trying to get some other manufactures letting you test their machines, your tests certainly do put machines through their paces and you're reviews are independent . Also need to find away of getting more views and subscribers, glad to see you're now getting companies place ads with you. Perhaps take a look at other people youtubers who review a range of small appliances. You could in December do a best of best of the year (the 2020 top dog machine) you'd recommend and use yourself of all the machines of all those you've tested in 2020. Anyway keep doing what you're doing.
I find your videos interesting.....especially as looking to replace a Hoover, but why no Miele covered in your vids? If they’re that bad, why not create a vacuum shame list so we know what to avoid?
Hi, I was wondering what would be the best budget vacuum to get. I had a cheap one from Argos but it just does work well anymore. My sister just got a cat and I’m quite allergic, so I am wondering what vacuum would be good for pet hair. I would say my budget is around 80 pounds max. I have spent ages looking for good hoovers, but it is difficult to find a reliable one. Would be cool if you could do a vid on hoovers around 60 to 90 pounds. 😊
