For the people accusing this dude of being paid by Dyson, here’s my two cents. I looked at the negative reviews for shark on Amazon and trust pilot. Negative reviews say a lot about a product and I’ve regretted ignoring them in the past. So one thing that was mentioned often was was poor suction. The second was the wrap feature being useless for long hair. Third was the battery failing after a few months. And as already mentioned in this video, is heavier than the Dyson. Not great for people looking for a cordless because they don’t have the mobility to lug a regular hoover around. As a result, many reviewers warned against wasting money on it and getting a dyson instead. For these reasons I will consider Dyson, but again, only if the reviews are satisfactory too. If they are on par with the shark, then I’ll consider others that fall in that price range/are cheaper.

Great review not got either of these, but I love my Dyson V8, I'd love to see you review some of the 3rd party tools you can get on the Internet such as the mop attachments for cordless vacs, thanks and keep up the good work

We had a new shark then dyson again found with shark it was incredible to start and went down hill fast but with dyson great on day 1 still great 👍. We had a reconditioned dyson and has almost no power so prefer newer model amazing :) thanks for this amazing review I can see you working for Which or Dryson one day

Ok what about non carpet like hardwood floors?

tbh, the price difference is stupid. I found my dysons fail in our household after a year or 2 and it becomes an awful struggle. Big nordic breed dogs, a lot of hiking and daily sweeps with the vacuum murders Dysons apparently (I thought this was what they were made for). I could understand a 299,- vacuum imploding after 2 years, but a 700 bucks machine, on a yearly basis I can hire someone to vacuum my house in great detail once a month for that money. I've been looking into the sharks because I spend about half my time vacuuming pulling dog hair out of my vacuum heads and I quickly discovered the anti hair tangle tech works in a specific way. The vacuum head only works properly in a forward motion, not backwards and after you're done you need to give it a moment to untangle the hairs from itself. Apparently giving it a minute of breathing time makes all the difference, but somehow it's rarely noticed in reviews like these? Also, the Sharks are specialists on hard floors but there's only carpet tests here, which I do find somewhat specifically in favor of the Dyson. As someone with hard floors (who really still has all carpet anymore in 2022?) and a few rugs, it's really annoying to keep dragging all the freaking vacuum heads around for dysons incase I run into the a damn rug. Either way, I think, after going through a million reviews, our household will destroy vacuum cleaners no matter what, all of them are gonna take a lot of cleaning of the machine it self and frustrations because they go down hill no matter how many filters and cleaning sessions I do. And I'm afraid a 299,- vacuum cleaner that takes away some part of the dog hair tangle struggle is going to win it every day from a overpriced popular brand that will burn down equally quick.

The biggest selling point on Dyson for me is the edge cleaning. I'm still waiting to see a vacuum that has a vacuum roller so close to the edge. Plus of course the HEPA

The Dyson to me is just too expensive so I purchased the Shark. I don't own a pet or chuck sand on my carpets so the Shark will do for me. Yesterday I vacummed the whole house using my 1800w Samsung upright and I was astonished at what came out of the container, but I decided to buy another because dragging big vacuum cleaner up each step of the stairs is getting a bit much. So I went and bought the Shark at Currys and did the whole house again today. I'm happy to say I had to empty the Shark's container three times and got more shit up than yesterday's effort with the Samsung. I'm pleased definitely with the Shark at £299 and two batteries is a brilliant idea you run out and stick another one in so you'll always complete the job.

Had a Shark IC160 which was a great vaccum cleaner but the Dyson v11 absolute blows the shark out of the water. At £600 the Dyson is very expensive but the Shark was £450 and not exactly cheap. Spend the extra money and go for the Dyson.

I’m not surprised Dyson performed better, I wasn’t ever a Dyson fan, but having tried and own Dysons they’re fantastic, well made, perform well and last a long time (8 years) cordless and sold it on, also dust separation on Dyson much better and filtration better.

I've been using shark cordless from last few months but never had any problems what you've shown in the video of it dropping out the stuff after cleaning so I'm not very much convinced....however yes the dyson seems like a better machine and I won't argue that however the sort of performance you've showed in the video from shark I don't agree with that too and think Dyson definitely wins but shark is better than the way you've showed it the video.

Why would you compare the shark to a much more expensive vacuum? It’s clear the Dyson is going to better because it’s far more expensive and has better features.

Cool review mate and yeah it's hard to argue with those results. When I tested the Shark on my channel I found what you did with the grains falling out of the bottom. I've had the V6, V8 and most recently the V10 and whilst they've all been decent cleaners, they're very fussy in the long run. Anything other than your regular breadcrumbs and dog hair will clog it up big time. For example, if you like to bake and you drop flour on the floor..Dyson won't like that in the long run. All that flour stays inside the machine and it's very hard to deep clean it out. The machines I've had always end up clogging continuously after a couple of years. Oh and I've bought a second pair of filters and still no improvement. Another thing, I got the Shark TruePet with 2 batteries for £299 on black friday sale. I don't think a V11 could be had for that sort of money, so I think the natural competitor to the Shark would probably be the V8 or V10 perhaps 🤔 Also Shark has the removable batteries and I've found battery life to be really good so far. Anyway..I'm getting on well with my Shark at the moment! Fingers crossed. Keep it up mate you're killing it :)

Good video. I'm switching between models and decisions so started to look at the Shark. The Dyson wins hands down and that 4kg worries me. I want life to be easier and don't mind it costing $100 more. What worries me just looking at Shark is they seem cheap, and poor materials. I like the reach under feature, but looking around my flat its not really something I need. Thanks

You're simply comparing Apples with Orange's here. Surely doing a like for like price wise performance comparison would make far more sense.

Here the dyson is twice the price of the shark even when the shark is bundled with multiple kits. I’d rather not give any more money to Mr Dyson (awful, hypocritical man). My friend was a product designer at Dyson and he said it was an awful place to work.

So, to sum up. The Dyson absolutely wiped the floor with the Shark! (or should i say vacuumed!?) Lol

Hands off the vacuums and go find a girlfriend (or boyfriend) and get laid. Human interaction is better than a vacuum, trust me!!

TBH the Dyson is almost twice the price of the Shark. I've bought the latter - but then I don't have pets and don't intend on dropping a bag full of lentils on a carpet. So, you know, real world use is perfectly good and feels very well built. If it's too heavy, I'd hazard a guess at you being a soy boy that might need to go lift some weights and stop being so beta 👍😎

Listen SPIDERMAN the shark is much better over all. They give you 5 years warranty plus its cheaper to buy in the 1st place. Dyson is over priced and Only 2 years warranty,what a joke. I think you would love a job at Dyson! 😆 😆 🤣
