How to repair Dyson Carbon fiber turbine tool 963544-04 that comes with CY 22 and other models.
Replacement Gear is Plastic Gear Model 132A, 13 Teeth, 0.5 Modulus, 7.5mm Outer diameter, 5mm Thickness, 2mm Hole Diameter bought off of amazon.
0:39 - Disassembly Starts
3:56 - Filing down old gear
5:50 - First basic test
6:10 - Reassembly
10:30 - Completed Test

I want to say thank you for making this video. Actually gave me confidence to tear this thing apart. It's clearly a planned obsoletion. I want to keep using my CY 22 so I have to repair this.

This Dyson vac is NOT even motor driven? It’s basically air + gears moves the brush roll? U not getting a deep clean with that

Do you still have the other dysons like the dc23 dc17 dc33 dc35 and big ball one

Yes, my dyson collection has gotten out of hand lol. I have 2X-dc17, dc23, dc33, dc35, v6, 2X-dc50, up15, dc39, cy22, dc40, 2X-up13. the brush bar motors on the DC17s make a bad noise but still work and the one UP13 I got out of the trash has a dead primary motor that I cant find affordable properly sized replacement carbon brushes for. Other than that they all work and are spread out between my house and my parents house. I think the up15 is the best overall.

@@lunasstatus1275 I probably will when we get rid of the wall to wall carpeting in my house. Although I keep the older ones around and use them like shop vacs and different ones work better on different floor types.
