I think you need to plug the adapter into new vac while using the old tube which will take the old motorized head.

Thanks for this info. Seems like Dyson and its owner James Dyson are masters of ‘planned obsolescence’. Perhaps that helped ‘Jim’ of the cultured speaking voice purchase his £43,000,000 penthouse in Singapore?

I wonder if this is because the voltage changed so the old motorized parts are not compatible.

Hi, I have a v10 and small ball vacuum, do you also have or know of an adapter that I could purchase instead of having a duplicate of the tools when I only need 1 set. thanks

The converter here doesn't work because its designed for non motorised tools. The mini motorised tool comes with electrical connectors at the bottom to work properly which the converters don't have. The motorised connectors also have 'rails' on the left and right side of the tube to prevent it going into non motorised connectors. There is no motorised converter unfortunately, not genuine anyway.

Surprisingly I made it work. Without any adapter, just by using fretsaw. Electric brush for Dyson V6 works with my Dyson V10. All I had to do is to cut plastic "barriers" on V6's pipe: made C-shaped plastic more like (-shaped. So the setup is Dyson V10 -> modified pipe -> original V6 motorised brush. It rotates, all fine. V6 brushes are 20W, while V10 can power up 50W, so I think it's okay. Basically, just cut the plastic, so that metal plug gets into the vacuum's socket. DISCLAIMER: this is not a professional advice, and I don't know wherer it will break the vacuum. I tested it for 3 minutes, before posting here. Make it at your own risk. PS: I think that's the only way possible, I couldn't find any adaptors with electric pins, so they all work for non-motorised brushes - who needs that?

The adaptor you have would not send power even if it fitted. I'm having that issue now!

Didn't work for me either. I wonder how much money is wasted due to Dyson's selling Gimmicks. Obviously another company that cares more for it's own pocket than it's loyal customers.

The problem is that those china boys didn't have any original accessories to see if is working or not :)) for my accessories I decide to remove those line from original accessories..
