Thanks for your video I fixed my brush, at first I didn't know why the plastic melted, then I thought it seemed like the high speed rotation sucked in the cat hair and then caught fire causing the plastic to melt
This is just the video I needed to fix my friend's motorised head - his attachment had exactly the same issue as you show here. I just wanted to say thank you for a very helpful video.
Good video thank you.......! Note: I think this is a design flaw on Dyson's part. It should be replaced by the manufacturer under warranty. Most people, seniors etc. will not be able to conduct this repair. Melting plastic of the parts can not possibly be a part of the design..... At least Dyson could replace the gear mechanism under warranty. Doesn't make sense that this problem is the customer's responsibility. Just my humble opinion. Thanks for your video.
Hey TechhFix, I have exactly the same Mini Motorized Brush but the time belt is broken. Do you have any tips, where I can order a new and right one? Or can you tell the articlenumber of the timebelt? Mine is not longer readable. Thank you in advance.
Thanks a lot for the vid. Funny thing is I looked this up because i was unable to open mine - turned out in my case the big wheel fused to the cover! It turned out that the plastic frame holding the wheel even broke from the strain of it being fused. I swear this shit is made to break eventually :
The end of the brush where it goes into the gear was locked up on mine. Couldn't figure out how to get the brush out until I watched this video. I was able to clean out the gunk and melted plastic so it could spin again. Thanks!
My problem is that not only does the brush not turn but I can’t even get it out. I have the little cap off, but can’t get the brush to come loose, even pulling with a vice grips. I have the belt off but can’t go any further without getting at that last screw, since the brush won’t come out. Any suggestions?
It seems that due to the friction, some components melted and got stuck. I don't think you can separate the central brush except by forced separation. I had a similar situation and the only option was to use a big flat screwdriver as a lever to move the brush away. Good luck!
@@techfixPOV Thank you. My son did finally manage to get it apart, using force. And then he glued the piece that broke. :) But it works fine now. I’ll clean it more often after this. ;) $50 saved!
Release the wires from the upper side, connect them to motor, tie them with small rope and while placing motor to its place, pull cables up and fit to housing
My issue is that the motor is not spinning at all… my guess is that one of the connectors might be loose, but I don’t know how to reach the back of the motor
@@techfixPOVbro can you pls help .. my Dyson hp04 Air fan is showing a white screen after I connected it to app it suddenly stopped when I turned it on again it's showing a white display that blinks over and over .
Try to switch the button on the brush several times while the brush is working. If it does not show any sign that it lights up, it is possible that the problem is with: the laser diode, the voltage regulator, the laser diode current control module. I will try to disassemble such a brush and I will return with a link here.
@@techfixPOV The laser light has not been on since the first day I bought it. I have set the button many times, but no result. Dyson sent me a new one. the broken sweeper remained with me. Thanks for ansvers.
