I dig it. I’m a big fan of the CP.3 lenses that you also mentioned. Those with the adapter could be a great option. Thanks for the sample with the Vespid Retro lenses with the adapter. Fun combination.
Dude, that's EASILY the best-looking Komodo footage I've ever seen. I keep trying to convince myself that the DZO Vespids aren't that great but I keep seeing amazing footage with them. Also, Komodo's sensor always looks so digital to me but it seems like this adapter and lens combo is taking off that edge where it looks organic now. I've never seen that on a Komodo.
Did you color grade the footage? The colors outside and skin tones look really nice. The Retros seems pretty controlled still (which is good), even with having an awesome flare.
That’a basically all it is. You do get a slightly wider field of view and alters your flares a bit. It’s nothing more to have something a bit different. 1.33 is already a small squeeze but adding that to the rear instead of the front takes away any real anamorphic looks. We are going to test this same set with Laowas new 1.33 front scope which should be a much more noticeable difference.
@@NorthwestCameraCo Would love to see. It's tricky at the affordable price points to get best of all worlds. You sort of have to pay for the high end look. Though I'm a bit surprised at what Dulens / DZO Retro's are doing.
