Thats how my homeyown club is...short super fast geotech runway with bice aproach from trees to right and a big pind on the left with big pines to fly in between off field...good stuff
My life summed up in 1 sentence 😂 Sucks losing a spot with so many memories, been there done that but thankfully yall get to stay together. People make the club, I hope yall grow and flourish wherever youre at now and wherever the future may take you.
Great way to say goodbye Adam. I notice you use pulse the throttle when you're flying slowly, this is something I know little about, have you done or considered, a short series on aerobatic manoeuvres? Bit like Michael Wargo but friendlier 🤔😁
It's a great shame that you won't be flying at that venue anymore Adam!! I particularly liked all the STOL content with the Bush planes that you filmed there 😒 But at least your new club is everything that you need. Fab flying for your last flight!! And as always Heidi did the business with the camera!! Great Job 😀👍
An excellent way to say goodbye to a great old flying field, Adam. Cool screw up of the Ultimate, I mean flight, no I mean flying. Yeah that's it, flying......with screw ups :). New memories to be made elsewhere. The old ones are now on YT, so they'll last forever......maybe. A great watch, good sir. AirHammer out!!
Wow dome flying skills that we all dream about Adam my friend. I will miss the highway traffic & Atlanta airport departures in the background … and it’s all there today, but look forward to your next flying field adventure. Well flown and well filmed ( Heidi) Looking fwd to your take on the new Micro Draco…. Nb
Very sad you lost the feild. We lost two fields near me.The Red Barons club moved 5 years ago. The Mountain Modelers club is Remote I.D. so club is desolving. Club was refused FRIA statis.Nice flying.
Hey! If you love the tight flying, you can always join us up at CCRC! It’s about the same size of field you just lost. It’s about an hour drive but it’s a wonderful facility!
Adam, seriously dude, did Heidi sign off on that hat? 😀 I'll confess, I have one just about as stylish. As for keeping your hands warm, many years ago I purchased a Radio Glove and use it to this day. I don’t think this particular brand is still on the market, but Amazon has a variety of knockoffs that look serviceable. Combined with a pair of lightweight open-finger polypropylene gloves, I’m comfortable flying all the way down to single digits. The polypro gloves wick moisture away from my hands so well that the plastic window will frost over and yet my hands are nice and warm. Highly recommended. I understand the bittersweet feeling of leaving a beloved flying site, especially one as scenic as yours. It reminds me of our local field for Cincinnati Silent Flyers, just 2 miles as the crow flies from my house. I hope you settle in at your new spacious airfield. Jim
That is my sexiest hat by far Jim. Lol. I'll have to check Amazon for a Radio Glove. Thanks for the tip. I'll miss that field, but we'll make new memories at the new one!
Most fields go quietly without a whimper. This lucky field, now recorded for posterity, was blessed with a final offering of a passionate flight, “with rage against the dying of the light”… Nice catch. Banzai!
Bummer about the field.. It's evident you really loved that field. I sure hope your new location brings the same joy. Good job flying that plane. You showed her capabilities very well..
Excellent, yet bittersweet video, Adam. Sorry to hear that you guys lost your field, but at least you have some upsides at the new spot to help offset the longer drive.
“Where one door closes another opens”. Adam, so true..You hear about these stories oh so often. Very sad. I’m so glad you folks have another field. I wish you all the best setting up your new field. Maybe pay a visit someday. Take care my friend.
New field sounds great. I should be called the Omega Flyer, I show up and the field gets closed down. Had the v1 Ultimate, fun plane. Great flying Adam, Jeff in LA USA
Sad about losing your field. I’ve been through that also. I’ll miss the beautiful backgrounds, the singing birds, and your well done bush footage. Great video, and an appropriate salute to many fond memories. 👍🏻🙂 I appreciate your comment about the cover up to your “ screw up”. 😂
Terrible news about the field; sorry Adam. I’m pretty sure those trees would have cost me a lot of money because my depth perception sucks... LOL I’ve contemplated the Ultimate a few times; I may pull the trigger this season.
This kind of thing really sucks, I live nearly 2hrs from the closest field. My flying is limited to a large soccer field on city property. The biggest issue with it is the grass is pretty tall over the winter.
Well, you gave it a nice 'finally' at your old field. That was some cool flying. So - at your new field - does this mean you will not have the full size aircraft sounds as background for your videos?
I took it out. It is fine for a newer 3D pilot with the weight in. At my level I prefer the rearward CG and lighter weight. A CG that far back could freak out a newer pilot to acro though.
