Hi Russell, I just found this video and am very impressed! I have been using portfolio with my students, but this just takes it to a whole different level! I have a couple of questions. As my students also collaborate on documents, can they also add whole documents to the site? Can they change the layout so that only the first page has a header? I also think that having students comment on each others' work is very valuable. I suppose this is also possible? Now I am really looking forward to trying this out! Thank you!
Yes they can add whole documents. Anything from Google will embed directly into Google Sites and my students do that all the time. Yes students can comment. Students can allow other students to see their E-Portfolios and comment on them. Glad the video was useful. I love this idea.
I guess you would have to share the template and that could be their starting point. I have never done that but I must admit it seems like a good idea.
Catherine, there are many different types of portfolios, I don't exactly know what a research portfolio but it would probably use the same types of tools
