I know Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I love any tricks you can give me!
@Kylen Leonidas Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
That's because they are Arrma fanboys who are pissed that Traxxas took away the copycat Nero and tbh the Nero broke rod ends all the time too plenty of videos online showing it. I wouldn't own an Arrma I think they are ugly by design and like the guy in the video said there's nothing an Arrma can do that the E Revo 2 can't... oh wait, there is one thing Arrma can do that the E Revo 2 can't and that is catching on fire after running hard!
I love mine too...I appreciate your videos and seeing the enjoyment you get from the hobby. I love the idea of reviewing after 1 year...it makes for much better content
Sire i like how the RC makes u smile, and i like all ppl that can enjoy the hobby, whatever age they have.My neighboors think i`m out of my mind playing whit expensive RC(romania),however my father is 60,i am 35,he also likes it,and hes almost an old man.You smiling like this,is great, have fun man forever!
Thanks for the great review! I bought an erevo 2.0 last,February and it's the RC that brought me back to the hobby after about 24 years. I love the erevo 2.0 and it's such as awesome rc to drive. It's fast, handles well and it looks awesome. Yes it's not perfect but I love the thing! I've got a hobbywing max 6 in mine and I'll be dropping a tp power 4070 2200kv motor in it in the spring so it will absolutely fly! I'm secretly hoping that Traxxas bring out an extreme Erevo 2.0 where you can add your own power system or maybe even an 8s 1/5 scale erevo 2.0 would be fun! Keep up the great content!
Your e revo videos helped me want this truck. I just got mine 2 weeks ago and i love it so much. No more wheel hexs circling out, no more body pins, tons of power and feels light and nimble to drive. And does tricks so easy. Nice size to work on as well
I am subbed man. I just bought my first e Revo, and all I can say is wow so far!!! I have only owned 110 models. This scale really opened up my eyes. I feel the same way. If I only had one truck to pick from so far would be the e Revo. I am looking at talion....thank you for your video on the straps for the rear shocks! I'm going to post a video on a quick fix until I get to the store I'm going to show what I did go bash it and see if it held up and given after video with you mentioned in the video and description.
I just bought one today...but i made sure i watched your videos on e-revo and rustler before i bought it. It was either an e-revo or a rustler..and i was standing in the store looking at both side by side, and i thought, go big or go home, haha. So e-revo it was. Ive owned a rustler before but sold it for financial reasons, not because it sucked but... So glad i bought an e-revo this time. Only ran it 20 mins on training mode but already happy with it. Definitely shows you love your e-revo and glad to have found your channel. Thanks! Keep it up! SUBD
Good review. I work with a guy who recently purchased the E-Revo (had it for about 2 months now) and he likes it a lot. I referred him to your channel and he's changing most on his as you did on yours. He's also talking about getting the X-Maxx, but I think, like you, the E-Revo will be his go to RC. I think these size RCs are perfect for various terrain. The other part is the weight if you've got to carry it out of the trails, skatepark, etc. Some parts can be a pain in the ass (I've got a summit which is nearly identical) to repair, but at the end of the day your temples will hurt from the smiles and laughing. I think it's definitely a cool RC. The only thing is I won't be soon buying an E-Revo cause as I've said, I've got the Summit as well as I have the nitro Revo. If I really wanted to, I could convert the Summit into an E-Revo fairly easy. Anyways, the guy I work with is having his servos going weak. I think it was your channel I seen the video telling the difference between duel and single servos. Definitely is more balanced with 2 but there are servos out there with far more torque than both stock servos combined have. I suggested getting a more expensive, quality servo vs 2 cheaper ones.
I just bought a used erevo.has had some small updates. I think once you replace some of the rods and little things like that with better parts. It will be just maintaining it. That is like anything else you would buy and plan on having for any length of time. Thanks for the review. And yes you have to have something more then just a few weeks to do it properly.
@@outsourcedrc Thank you for the heads up! I’ll be picking up that upgrade along with the truck. I was going to head over to my hobby shop today to see if they had my color but I couldn’t make it out today. I keep telling myself that’s a sign I shouldn’t get it and just pick up my 1/16 scale mini eREVO. That bigger truck looks like a lot of fun. I’ve also watched your straps video too!
The new revos come with metal driveshafts and the new beefed up tie rods! I’m fine with replacing the plastic spur gear with metal and getting some servos when mine burn up, not very expensive and after that should last forever
Great review, man. Good and honest, and you were able to give it a year. That's some serious time and you're right, it takes more than 30 min to give it a good shakedown. Great stuff, man.
Really nice review mate, so authentic see you driving and hearing how you enjoy it! Got mine 2 weeks ago and loving it too. Greeting from Germany! PS: How about some rubber edge protection parts for your "landing ramp" :-)
My e revo 2.0 didn't hold well at all. I mainly just do big jumps and its just not meant for it. My tires lasted about 2 weeks and I've broken just about every other part. Me and 2 of my buddies all of e revos and we all had the same issues. I sold it for the arrma kraton and I couldn't be happier with that platform. The handling and durability has been amazing. I hope this helps someone not make the same mistake I did.
Just got my erevo 2.0 yesterday. Came missing a part to the front right servo so I fried a servo in about 10 minutes which is to be expected. Have the merv which is awesome. Can’t wait to get big brother up and running. Thing is much bigger than I thought! Merv didn’t like the grass very much with talons. Trenchers fixed that some. Gonna stick with stock tires most likely for the 2.0. They look nice. Love your videos keep it up! Watched your rustler vs erevo vid and that helped me out a lot thank you 🙃
Great review 👍 I completely agree with you about when to do a review. There are so many bad product review on YT for that reason. To be honest I don't really think you had to say much, that smile said it all lol
Thanks a lot for your good review. And I have to say. I am so jealous on your living area!! That would be mine dream to live on a place like that in middle of a forest
Depends how you bash essentially. I like to go as far high and fast as I possibly can so it didnt hold up for me at all and I did all the mods I could.
If you want to do big jumps I would recommend the kraton. I had the e revo 2.0 and nothing on that car held up to big jumps. I've blown the transmission, broken a arms, tie rods, push rods, drive shafts, bent lots of axles, rear wing mount. The kraton is much more solid platform with a few chassis upgrades.
I JUST Bought my 1st RC since i was in my 20's and Went with the REVO 2. I've gotta say anyone who watches your videos is immediately SOLD on the Revo2. I'm charging my batteries at i text you. LoL 😆 can't wait to get out their and Shred. I just wanted to say Thank You for the AWESOME 1 year review, i know now that i bought the Right RC for my Return to the Ramp. Keep making videos, i like them. Maybe I'll post a short of my own to show you mine. See you again. ✌
@@outsourcedrc i ordered the green Aluminized Push Rods & Toe Links From Traxxas. Yeah I'll check out the Aluminum Rod Ends too. I'm a HopUp Junkie. My Whole Erevo2 is going to be All aluminum LoL. I'm looking for a Steering Assembly right now, that's not coming from China....
I am pretty happy i went for the Rustler 4x4 VXL for my first car. Because man, i could not afford that many broken parts, at least not from the start. Who knows in a year. I still like how beastly the E-Revo 2 looks and it's so BIG compared to the Rustler. At any rate, good video! very in depth. Gotta say im really impressed at how well the E-Revo 2 handles, they way it can turn like that :O wow.
I'm getting one anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months from now then if you want to make the bodies last so much longer gorilla tape the crunch points and it it will be more resistant to cracks and tears, I've learned that from my friends E Revo, his body is destroyed but I learned it from him and used it on my rustler and it last for ever
12:54 That spin was the smoothest RC maneuver I've ever seen. 😎 One thing I noticed though: The car does seem to have a tad bit too much power, i.e. appears a little unstable, when going in a straight line. Nevermind the fun factor of drifting, how much work is it to actually go straight?
I just bought a used e-revo, well it was at the Traxxas retail store and they said it was real dirty and nowadays lot of the store guys worked on it and replaced a lot of parts, I was going to buy a new one and one of the guys went to the back and brought this rebuilt one to me and said they would sell it to me for about 1/2 of what a new one would cost, so I bought it, I haven't played with it yet, but after seeing your video, I feel a lot better about my purchase. I put some silver on the wheels, and I put the wheelee bar on it.
Thanks for showing a video of it doing turns. How do you make it stop and spin as it's stopping? How do you make it do flips? Do you go full throttle as it's going on the ramp? Or do you stop mid air and press the throttle again? How can I avoid having to replace parts like the servo, push rod, and drive shaft? If I use it the way you did in this video, will I have to replace parts? I don't want an item that requires a lot of maintenance. Where do I get your Venom battery? Will I like the way it drives and turns with the stock parts? Will it still drive ok with the stock springs? Did you change those for aesthetic reasons, or performance reasons?
Thats a lot lol. The spins take some getting a feel for. You will do them differently depending on a lot. Mostly, as you get ready to spin it, turn the wheel, then break hard as the E Revo starts to turn. It doesnt take much of a turn to get it to spin like that. Sometimes you can follow that with a burst of throttle depending on the terrain you are driving on. To flip it, hit the ramp NOT at full throttle. After its off the ramp in the air you can give it a burst of throttle, but dont hold it. With practice you will learn how much to give. The parts will just get damaged in time. Its hard to avoid it. Its a heavy RC with lots of power. Lots of zero to full throttle bursts will do more damage over time. I got my batteries at a local Hobby Shop. These are not sold anymore. I dont recommend the new Venom batteries unless you put new connectors on them. It drives fine on stock springs. I changed mine because I do high jumps.
@@outsourcedrc Thanks. Where can I get ramps like yours? Will they get damaged on any kind of jump, even low ones? Like what about the one where you made it jump from one ramp to the next?
@@nuraman00 I made my ramps. There is a video on my channel showing exactly how I build them. The ramps are tough. I have not broken them yet. I've chipped the edges in some places but nothing too bad.
I JUST PULLED THE TRIGGER AND GOT ONE. HAS ALL THE UPGRADED TRAXXAS LINK TUBES AND THE OTHER UPGRADES YOU MENTIONED ALREDY. HOPE THOSE ARE BETTER THAN STOCK🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Amazing review! How long does the battery last when you do this type of driving? Also what battery are you using? This review is still helpful nearly 5 years later!
Very nice review.. i bought the E-revo 2.0 myself and I do not regret it.... really fun and nice machine to drive. I like your review and what a nice playground you have. How long are your limiting straps?
Thanks for all the great content I just bought a e Revo because of how many good reviews it had. And this video it looks look a nice car hope I enjoy it.
That's awesome! I got one last week so far so good nothings broke and did some pretty hard bashing. Alltho my friend got one and it only lasted about 5 mins till the esc blew out from the self righting. Just do not use that feature and it will last a very long time!
My erevo is my favorite to drive... but if I could only have one it would be my trx6. From .01mph to 25mph it can crawl or blast down trails. . But, having the Capra, trx6, and erevo means I rarely use my trx6. If I want some fast fun I’ll use the erevo... if I want to rock crawl I’ll grab the Capra. The trx6 is basically used for hiking.
I still have the original e-revo, fried one motor and still have not fried the "Not Waterproof" speed controller. It loves to blow rear ends but, is cheap to fix. The Sledge may be my next addition.
I really enjoyed all your erevo posts!! Lots of helpful info..great shots..a queston..what you think about metal skid plates?. As an up grade for the erevo?
I really like the revo, i started with the 2,5R then replaced the motor with 3.3 and then completely rebuilt it to a 3.3 revo until i transformed it to a brushless but kept the 3.3 body and tires because i think they look cool and gives it a monster look. 😃
Great Review. Im new in the hobby and im looking to buy my first RC. I dont know if I will stay in the hobby but I definitely want to own a good quality RC.....therefore ur review was a spot on. I was between Arrma Felony and E revo 2.0......but I think I ll go for the 2nd one.
I really enjoy my smaller e revo with brushless motor. I have not tried it with Lipo batteries but certainly moves along. Thank you for your informative presentations. Cheers.
Surprised you like the clodbuster best. It’s nostalgic for sure. Had one in the 80s as a kid but lets face it, it doesn’t perform well at all. Slow and clumsy but it is a looker. I may have to pick up a kit soon. Miss it. Would be a great addition to my small fleet.
I’m on my 8 year review of a slash 2wd brushed and it is bone stock 😂 I’ve never rebuilt it never maintained it 😂 same bearings same transmission everything
"The stock servos didn't last that long at all...but that is fine" Like your reviews, just started to watch but this line got me. At this price range I don't think it is ok, that they did not last long. Yes, I know how this is, I - as well many other people - get out the stock servo/esc etc. from any rig and replace with a better one; but then agan, at this price range, this is not cool at all. Eastern-Europe so, money is an issue. Oc it is my "problem", but it was sad to hear this.
I believe this is because the servos are fighting each other out of the box. Seems to be a common issue with the factory build. I think if you align the servos together yourself at the start it shouldn't be a problem
Checked and set up my servos out of the box. I'm on my 6th full run and they are still running strong. I recomend to check the stering servo set up out of the box on any RC, not just this one.
Great video. Total novice here and wanted to send you a question but don't see how to here. I got a E Revo V1 for free sans batteries and charger. I got the 3s Lipo batteries and charger from Traxxas as I didn't want to start soldering on new connectors etc. Don't know the history of this car and how it was taken car of but the local hobby shop said it looks in great shape. I've run it twice and I love it! Alas I broke a shock end (replaced already) and have the shock rebuild kit ready to go in. Traxxas suggested 60w oil over the stock so I'll start there. Wondering what upgrades or major service (thinking of checking the diffs just to be sure they are full and in good condition) you think I should look at or make? Sadly also the original Mamba Monster speed controller has died. Traxxas offering warranty upgrade to the VXL 6 or I called Castle Creations and they also offered a out of warranty replacement. Thinking of going with Castle due to the 1 year warranty over the Traxxas 30 days. Sorry for the long comment.
Its cool. I have a V1 E Revo as well. I blow through Diffs on it. I've considered seeing if I could swap out the diffs for the 2.0 diffs. I also run MIP steel axles in the front. I find the Diffs last longer if I run plastic axles in the rear.
@@outsourcedrc Thanks so much for the reply. I guess I'll just wait till I break the stock front axles before upgrading. As far as the diff's well I will see how they last for me. Not planning on bashing as much as just flat runs and some easy jumps etc. Your videos are great and very well done, love the enthusiasm!
Well said! Ive had mine for about the same time frame and have only broken the wing mount. Havent had any issues with the shocks or pushrods, but i run a pretty extreme shock setup thats about to get even beefier, lol. Yeah, my handling has suffered because of it but eh, thats why ive got a second set of shocks for crawling, lol. I have swapped out the power system to a 2000kv motor and max8 esc, not due to failure of the stock power system, but something thatll be better suited to the weight of the batteries i run.
The E Revo is one of my top ones. That and my Clodbuster. I think the top two, not including my Clodbuster, is my E Revo 2.0 and my Typhon 6s. They are the ones I have the most fun with
I just bought one three days ago the same exact car and the engine seized up on me. Currently waiting on warranty shipment from Traxxas, hopefully it was just a bad batch of motors.
Part of my backyard is decent sized, but it's not a huge one like the one you showed. There is about 30-35 feet of space, though, in one stretch. Will a 11.1 V 5000 mAh battery be too much power, and will it go too fast? If so, will a 7.6 V 7600 mAh battery be better?
Personally, I'd go with the better batteries. If you take it somewhere else to drive it, you will wish you had them. you can always put the E Revo in training mode to reduce its power.
@@outsourcedrc i did! You're awesome! I wanna find your house to drive on that gravel road after i but my second hand eRevo tomorrow:) kidding, I'm in Canada: p
I am about to purchase my first serious RC. Love the looks of Erevo but still teared between Erevo 2.0 and Kraton V4. I have a local Traxxas dealer within 15min reach with all the parts on stock. On the other hand we don't have Arrma dealer in our country so I need to order everything online. Is the Erevo really that bad as I hear? Servos, suspension... On the other hand Kraton has a weak body and stock radio sucks big time and needs to be replaced. I get Kraton for 550eur (+150 for new radio), Erevo for 680eur (+ ?? for the upgrades). What should I take?
People love to hate who is ever at the top. Whether its the President (of anything), a number one sports team (whos won too many damn championships), the most popular coffee chain...etc. Thats where I think alot of Traxxas hate comes from. Its a perfectly natural "root for the underdog" "king of the hill" mentality. They make GREAT, if not the best RC's, and have been as long as anybody. They are number one for a reason, lets not forget.
