The effective rolling radius is very important in the application of ABS, ESC and many more. Thanks for watching my channel. Tyre pressure gets higher, then, internal volume gets higher, consequently, rolling radius gets larger.

Hi! low pressure needs more fuel and high pressure needs less fuel.

Main reason is that when inflation pressure gets lower, rolling resistance gets bigger.

@@vehicledynamics thanks. My car placard says about 37psi is recommended. If I am not looking for traction but I am looking for fast acceleration what max psi should I set it at?

Fast acceleration means tire should support the biggest traction force from the engine as far as it can. For this, you should select the inflation pressure recommended by auto maker because the nominal pressure secures most evenly and widely distributed pressure on the tire contact patch. That Allows tires to support maximum traction force.
