Agree with you on short life span of capsules. I am getting < 10 glasses per capsule. Interested in trying the aerator.

I’ve been using Coravin over the past 5 years. The canisters last me a few weeks tops. I would have thought their shelf life would increase but maybe the profit is just too good. 🤫

The amount of pressure (and volume) is limited for safety reasons. Above that level it becomes HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) involving a lot more paperwork, certification, and charges - for example FedEx and UPS charge an additional $39 per HAZMAT package. For a six-pack that would add $6.50 per capsule.

Doug. That’s some serious insider knowledge. Great point. Makes me feel much better about the pressure situation. I’m happy to not pay anymore or have an exploding cartridge!

One thing I have seen users do, is after they pull the needle out, they give it a quick pull on the trigger to blow any remaining wine out. There is also the cleaning needle that is provided to help clean out any buildup inside.

Jon's response is spot on. After each use, tap the trigger to blow some gas through the spout cleansing it a bit before you place into another bottle. Cleaning needle helps with deeper cleaning.

All I got from this review is how to spend $200-$400 to pour a glass of wine. How effective is it in actually preserving wine over a few days, weeks, etc.?
