They came in a pair? Wow. It's nice that an official was willing to tell you guys about more possible areas to explore. I had a laugh at you speedy recovery of your camera. What a great time of scenic travel you've had.

I can't wait to go back. I like NC but that area, and north of there, are some of my favorite places.

Glad you got the mice, no way I'd be able to sleep. Those views are breathtaking, the lake, mountains and sky!!! Cool of the ranger to chat and give you some places. LOL a RV certainly is not coming down that road.

Thanks for the comment. Taking the shots and making the vids does change the aspect of the trip, but I like having the record of it, and that it is enjoyed by others as well. Don't know if you ever watch "Seek Adventure" but he did a great exit video from RU-vid. He had amazing content and info, but decided to stop when the video became more important than the adventure. I definitely appreciate the effort the big channels put in. Doing this makes me appreciate it even more.

It really is! My next destination if I up and leave NC, which the humidity is making look more and more likely!

IDGAXJ - Simple Overlander I found your channel recently. I have enjoyed watching your videos, thank you for sharing them!! Thought you might also like my Thumbnail 😏. She sees a lot of trail time but more rock crawling here in Texas.

That is what I was afraid of. Mouse traps are now part of my "must have" list for trips like this.

I've had mice and shit in my Jeep when I was camping! They came in through the HVAC system; and they even made a nest in my engine back.. right underneath the entrance to my HVAC, under the hood on the passenger side.
@simpleoverlander
@simpleoverlander 4 года назад
I saw that some were in the engine bay for sure...with crap sitting on the battery. I will be bringing traps on my nest trips just in case. Those were my first mice after months and months of traveling over the past 2 years. Will keep me aware for sure going forward.

Can you sent me the map guide of continental divide line. I would love to go there next year. I need to make plans for that trip.
@simpleoverlander
@simpleoverlander 4 года назад
I would but Manny had purchased the route from someone else. You can check it out with the link below. There may be free routes out there, but this was a motorcycle route we followed. We also ran into some dead ends and had to re-route 3 or 4 times. I told Manny he should do a video on what sections we had issues with. You can purchase the route from GPS Ken (no affiliation): sites.google.com/a/gpskevinadventurerides.com/gpskevin-adventure-rides/international-continental-divide

What u do about fuel?
@simpleoverlander
@simpleoverlander 4 года назад
Most vehicles could do this trip without extra fuel. I always carry 5 gallons on my tire carrier, but brought another 5 gallons in plastic cans on the roof. I used those on one 250 mile section, but probably could have made it without. The route we followed always had a gas station at the end of the section.

Ok, you're confusing us. Is it Monday, August 7th or Friday?

I'm confused as well. I have no idea what day it is when I am on trips like this haha. It was August 7th though :)
