The E19 is a European road that runs from Amsterdam (capital of the Netherlands) via Brussels (capital of Belgium) to Paris (capital of France). The Belgian part of the route runs via the A1 and A7 motorways. The A1 motorway is divided into two parts. The southern part forms the connection between the port city of Antwerp and Brussels, the northern part forms the connection between Antwerp and the Dutch border at Breda. In this video we see the northern part of the A1 from Breda (Hazeldonk) to the Antwerp Ring.
The video starts in the Netherlands at the Hazeldonk rest area. From here we cross the border almost immediately and drive into Belgium. The A1 is a fairly no-nonsense motorway. An almost direct route to the port city, through the lowlands of Belgium with the high-speed railway line right next to the motorway all the time. After the distribution centres at the border, an agricultural area follows and we pass Noorderkempen station. North of Antwerp, the area is more wooded.
The video ends at the Antwerp-Noord interchange, where this part of the A1/E19 connects to the Antwerp Ring. The interchange will change considerably in the coming years (until 2030) when the Antwerp Ring is completed.

De E19 is een Europese weg die van Amsterdam (hoofdstad van Nederland) via Brussel (hoofdstad van België) naar Parijs (hoofdstad van Frankrijk) loopt. Het Belgische deel van de route verloopt via de autosnelwegen A1 en A7. Autosnelweg A1 is opgesplitst in twee delen. Het zuidelijke deel vormt de verbinding tussen havenstad Antwerpen en Brussel, het noordelijke deel vormt de verbinding tussen Antwerpen en de Nederlandse grens bij Breda. In deze video zien we het noordelijke deel van de A1 van Breda (Hazeldonk) naar de Ring van Antwerpen.
De video start in Nederland op verzorgingsplaats Hazeldonk. Vanaf hier gaan we vrijwel direct de grens over en rijden we België binnen. De A1 is een redelijk no-nonsense snelweg. Een vrijwel rechtstreekse route naar de havenstad, door het laagland van België met voortdurend de hogesnelheidsspoorlijn direct naast de snelweg. Na de distributiecentra bij de grens, volgt een agrarisch gebied en we passeren station Noorderkempen. Ten noorden van Antwerpen is de omgeving juist meer bebost.
De video eindigt ter hoogte van knooppunt Antwerpen-Noord, waar dit deel van de A1/E19 aansluit op de Ring van Antwerpen. Het knooppunt zal in de komende jaren (tot 2030) behoorlijk veranderen als de Ring van Antwerpen volledig wordt gemaakt.
