Cheers Jeremy much appreciated, yeah totally totally stoked to be able to build and run this buggy really like it. The Elf as always is a totally Diamond 💎 cheers for watching
Helloo :) it went really well but I will change that motor out. It is very simple as well but that’s one of it charms, it just needed a more durable gearbox. Many thanks for watching
Hey Andy, wonderful to see this built and it look amazing in that blue. Thank you so much again for the MSC. It is keeping my Raider running for a few more years I reckon after the original one finally gave up on me!! The servo savers and steering arms are junk on the Raider but they are a product of the time. I have messaged you on Instagram as I think I have a spare set of the front tyres you can have dude 👍🏻
Hi Craig hope your your well, glad you liked the finished raider pro, I was very happy with it finished and built and the colbalt green colour combo with the decals. No worries on the MSC, my pleasure. Look forward to seeing your raider back and running soon, so servo saver is definitely junk
That's a nice looking Buggy Andy , love the colours you have done. The RC elf is so generous to give you a buggy to restore. My RC elf has run out of money 💰 Happy new year my good friend X
Oh, wow! wonderful video :) I love these old 2wd cars from Kyosho, but it bothers me to know that there are almost no important spare parts available for these cars (there are some spare parts on eBay) with very high shipping costs. (I think that compared to Tamiya it is much easier to find parts (differentials, dogbones, spur gear, sprockets, transmission box) I currently have a Kyosho Axxe 2wd (I have only used it once with a stock engine, but I am afraid of breaking the transmission gears because they are very scarce! greetings friend
Great video! I love my Raider! I recently got it over 60 miles an hour on a budget brushless setup! I just wish they would re-release it as parts can be difficult to find and expensive! The RC Elf is so generous!
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 I don’t run 3s every often as it is t very stable at those speeds and it had to be hard on the gearbox even when I keep the punch all the way down (just from spinning my so fast)…. But on 2s at 40 mph it actually handles really good and is a blast!
Dudes I was just about to tell Andy to watch Brian’s channel after watching this - no worries about pushing that gearbox too hard Andy I doubt it will let you down 😄
What a fantastic looking 90's buggy, love it! It does puzzle me why they put the word 'Pro' on a kit that still has friction shocks, bit like Tamiya calling the Hornet a 'high performance off-road racer' 😂😂 Great video as always mate, keep 'em coming!!
Hi mate how’s the hornet coming along? Yeah a bit odd the Pro tag, you think it would have uj’s, bearings and alloy shocks with a name like the Pro ;) cheers for watching, glad you enjoyed it whizzing about
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 I've built the chassis and run that, seems to be OK. I forgot how bad the Hornet suspension was😂😂 I'll try and get the bodyshell done over the next week or so, fingers crossed!
Looks great in your cobolt green, great to see it out and about. Great little car. Suppose i’ll have to move mine up the restoration waiting list now. The Oag has his, you have one. I’ll have to get mine done and dusted and who knows, we could have a mini raider meet 🤔
It looks fantastic and runs really well! It has the same wonky servo saver setup as the my Bandido did, I ditched that and went with a standard Tamiya one as I really did not like how long it was! That is a lot of leverage on the servo and I am sure it is not happy with all that pushing against the internals of the servo. I am sure the modern day servos can handle it a lot better but I am sure it would wear out one older on pretty fast! You look like you are getting the cold we had a week ago here! It is all the way back in the mid to upper 60s here, I swear the weather is drunk!!! Stay warm and take care!
Hey Addam thanks mate I’m very pleased with how it turned out, the colours and decals I thought turned out well. The servo saver is definitely pants , but I’ve got a relatively decent servo installed. At some point I’ll changer the kit saver out but it’s not a priority right now. The buggy ran very well I thought especially on a cold cold day . Thank again for watching
It goes well enough with the motor that’s installed it’s weather the gearbox is durable enough for the motor I put in. It’s wound be a shame to ruin just for the sake of running a 14x2 in it
