I would love to see Yahtzee have an insult-off with another Yahtzee.

Damn, I'm really not kidding if I say that watching one of these, five minute episodes of Zero Punctiation, is more effective for expanding my English vocabulary than several English lessons at school combined.

I am just gonna say, I really wished Nintendo had released something about Metroid. Metroid is like dust in the Wind, but its such a strong franchise it could dethrone all FPS's if done right. Sigh, maybe next year!

Well, he perfectly captured what E3 was this year in a 5 minute video.

For the most part i agreed with Yahtzee this go around. Sony brought some interesting stuff, but the Vita TV (combined with the PS Now) really caught my eyes. Microsoft was flailing to me (i have little stakes in the whole thing). But I think Nintendo did great this year. I came away from E3 cautiously optimistic for Wii U owners, and even my interest in the Vita TV waned a bit because of all the "ifs" compared to what Nintendo has coming up that I can actually see- less was throwaway to me there than all the rest. but then, my preferences are more supported from Nintendo than others, so there is that.

I think everyone kinda walked away from this year's e3 with a lot of "meh" in their after party punch. It felt like one giant reinforcement of things we already knew about, mixed with things not many even cared about. And yea, the Conker think was bullsh*t. Utter bullsh*t. Felt like a slap in the face, really.

Anyone else here after E3 2018? Nice to look back and see how things have changed, and it’s kinda funny how Yahtzee predicted the splatoon characters getting added to Smash

Well c'mon, Nintendo was actually pretty good this year. It was nice to see a conference that had fun and was about the games, instead of being a glorified marketing campaign like the others. Not to mention the kept showcasing their games throughout all of E3 live! Aside from that though, E3 was pretty "meh" I guess.

To be fair, this only focused on the press conferences, Nintendo dedicated the rest of E3 to showing a practically constant stream of actual gameplay, not that Yahtzee would talk about anything Nintendo did if he can't find something to complain about in it.

On the other side, No Man's Sky is scaling to be either the best thing since the invention of breathing or the best attempt at it.

He says that they don't do anything new, yet this year, he bashes them for something they DID new (Splatoon), and ignored everything else that didn't fit with his "Nintendo-are-becoming-unorginal" viewpoint (Xenoblade Chronicles X, Project Giant Robots, Project Guard, Bayonetta 2, Project S.T.E.A.M, etc)..

Well that was depressing, even though it's Yahtzee's job by this point to be as critical and depressing as possible. I actually like a lot of the material coming out of E3, including Far Cry 4, Destiny, Evolve, Rainbow Six Siege, ect... This video makes me want to ask what your plan is? Alright Yahtzee, let's see you make a better game than all the supposed "meh" titles. I'm dying to know what you actually like in your "good" games, or maybe you've just forgotten that you're supposed to have fun when playing games? It's entertainment... I know, that's the whole point of the show, to be cynical and crack funny jokes at the same time, but you have to give credit where credit is due sometimes, even if you you yourself NEED to follow it up with at least one negative remark. For example, you never give Nintendo the time of day even when they do something that would universally be conceived as plausible for obvious reasons. You hated how Nintendo would rehash old franchises, and you liked to go off on a tangent and talk about how everything involving Nintendo, fans and games included, are nothing more than a mud pile. Kid Icarus: Uprising, a brilliant action game that, when you get used to the controls, is tons of fun with a lot of replay value, multiple weapons to choose from, and the option to turn off/on the dialogue just to name a few positives. But no... It's apparently shit because the 3DS gives you hand cramps. You're probably one of the only people I've heard who has complained about this, and yet that sole reason makes the game shit regardless of what the game has to offer? You complain that there aren't enough new Nintendo IPs, and when they give you Splatoon or Captain Toad, you're all like "These were just made so they could be put in Smash! Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go have oral sex with my girlfriend/sock puppet!". And don't anyone give me the "Just because it's new, doesn't mean we should praise it" bullshit. He asked for new IPs, Nintendo gave us new IPs. Whether they are good or not, we will find out, but he should have at least given some credit there. Over-exaggeration can be funny, but it can also get stale when we hear the same shit coming from your mouth, just with different words. It makes it a lot harder to understand what passes as a good game to you and what doesn't, as well as what is just you milking your persona for all its worth. But I digress. Last year and for the first half of this year, I was ashamed to even give Nintendo a penny, let alone a few quid. But they've learned from their mistakes, and while they didn't have the best E3 this year, you can't deny that they had a damn good one. They had old IPs returning with improvements and new mechanic expansions, they had brand new IPs, they showed a lot of gameplay footage live, and they interacted with the fans a lot more than I ever thought they would. You can either call this a fanboy boner or whatever the hell you hypocritical Yahtzee cumdumps call it if you want, and you can dissect and philosophically criticize all the points I've made and only see the opposite side of it all that also applies, but the bottom line is that Yahtzee isn't always right about Nintendo. I'm not going to buy every single game they put out, because what would be the point in that? How many of them will I actually want to play? But there is a lot to look forward to, even on the Wii U.
