You're right, but keep in mind that rfactor is opensource, so all the great features comes from the community developers. Its not the same case with codemasters, maybe they have a poor engine sound working team, like Poliphony with Gran Turismo. Having say that, the contribution to the engine sound improvement has a big difference between the two games.
There is a high disparity between the different manufacturers when it comes to V6 engien sounds. Lower RPM engines are hard to reproduce correctly I believe.
Great stuff. I still think having GP@ and GP3 as a part of career mode would be even better to work your way up, get called by an F1 team for a practice sessions and stuff. Thats what i like about Moto GP games having 2 lower classes in career mode. Another thing from Moto GP that would be cool is you could decide to build your own team from scratch if you decided so. Some classic season DLC would be cool, maybe the missing seasons of 07, 08 and 09
Well they should get it. Seems that the tide is changing with these things such as licensing, it would benefit both. I think two lower classes do need more exposure and this is one way of doing it Milestone does a great job with that on MotoGP games, which is strange because i think they have much less budget that Codies, ok i do expect MotoGp licensing to be less expensive but not much. I do have GP2 mod on rFcator 2 so might have to mix that with F1 2017 career using a bit of imagination lol.
Don't want to be getting ahead of myself, but can you imagine modders being able to make a grid full of the 1988 cars or 2007 cars to play a full season with.
They'll most likely be able to re-skin car models but not creating new models - so yes, somebody could be able to make a full grid of cars from any of the seasons that have a classic car in the F1 2017 game.
2008 season will be awesome, so many great cars that season Ferrari, Mclaren Mercedes, BMW Sauber, Honda, Toyota, Renault, 💘 Or also a full season of the years that Senna, Schumacher and all those legends drove together
You must add a split screen mode..that's what we greek consumers want and it is missing in recent racing games. Such game would blow the competition now!
They need to fix the engine sounds. The 2014 game has a very accurate Mercedes engine sound. The Renault engine is fine but this Ferrari engine sounds NOTHING like the real life engine. Also, the racing line is off, it seems like if you follow the line in terms of braking, you go straight past the corner
Hopefully you can switch to a broader range of teams, in 2016, you could go from Sauber to Toro Rosso to Red Bull, but then you couldn't join a lower team then where you were at Red Bull
People who answer questions and start sentences with 'So..." What is this ?? Admittedly not as bad as people who start with "I mean.." when they haven't even said anything before that.
I could hear what you are talking about but you also have to remember that the audio of the conversation is over the game audio. Hopefully when the game comes out that won't be the case.
For sure but, knowing how loud the V12 from the Ferrari screams when you are in the crowd/tv camera point of view, easily you should hear something more. Hopefully when the game releases, this cars are the best approach to the reality.
I'd like to do a multiplayer season that's the same of the offline career, with car development etc etc. Someone can tell me if they do something of new for the multiplayer season?
Not a single new track this year (except Silverstone backwards) F12017 should have been a season pass and a software update !! CMON CODEMASTERS sort it out :)
Can anyone expand on the pop up message at 7.58 into the video that says "A new car setup is available from the pause menu"?? Is this the new game giving hints at setups? Because if so I think that's a cool new addition
Josh H same thing happens in 2016. When you beat your time trial rival and the game allocates you a new one, you get this message and you can copy the setup of your rival.
I played f1 games like a long time, i really liked grand prix 3 and 4, the weather system was way ahaed of its time, like drying racing lines and stuff, its just the graphics and physics are not so good as other racing games, its just an arcade racer
Guys please work on accidents and crashes... They look really bad on 2016! There's a lot to improve in this way... I don't want to see entire pieces that's breake away without any dents!
But still only the tires and front wings break off, the rest is invincible. They're going for a real feeling, well i dont want a "simulation damage" that breaks nothing.
its common knowledge. a lot of racing games have these restrictions and FOM has them set so it doesnt give their brand reputations a bad name. its not going to look good for f1 if all the game is about it having fun blowing cars to bits in wrecks they dont want the sport to revolve around that.
so its still an arcade game that doesnt represent f1 well in any way. good. i like how you say simulate when nothing is simulated here lol. It's all garbage, the physics are trash, the graphics are trash and theres no wheel support. sounds like a good game guys. fucking hell.
