It's scary that you called this... I remember hearing you talk about E3's days being numbered, in the stream two days ago. Your only miscalculation was thinking it would still have a couple years left before it went away. Their failure was more complete than anyone could calculate, apparently. Glad to have you back, my dude. I'm normally not patient enough to sit through long streams live, but a precious few I save to listen to while driving for work (I listen to YT videos at 1.5-2x speeds to save time, heh) and yours is on the list, missed your gaming industry analysis!

F's in the chat. But I do feel that Summer Game Fest is kind of taking over on that front already. As I wasn't part of the people attending the physical conferences, as long as the big brands have their presentations around the same time, it doesn't feel that much different from the outside. Though of course growing up with E3 as the big "time for crazy reveals" time, it does hurt a little in the nostalgia feels to hear that it's not coming back.

There's no AAA games that are worth looking at anymore because all the money has gone to greedy corporate idiots who have forced out all the creative passionate people that made games exciting and innovative. The start of the decline was when they enforced all glamour models in cosplay costumes due to wanting to be seen as more Politically Correct and less misogynistic only catering for the male gamers. When you realise that it was no worse than a typical cosplay event today, it lost something (my boner for one! 😉). After that, it simply became more sterile and less fun.
