Thaks for the enlightenment. I'm getting ready to do my my trunk's last 10" with the repair panel, support brace and tail pan. When yours looked like could have been a video of mine ... totally rusted out.

I'm telling you, I'm pretty sure that sugar was part of the alloy that Detroit used back in the day!

If both of those parts are for the bumper jack, then I'm with you. I keep a scissor jack in the trunk instead. Man, I haven't used a bumper jack in who knows how long... maybe on my 74 Malibu back in high school!

Bonjour!

Loven this build, but I gotta say you made me laugh when you said that the Truck Floor didn't cost that much, or in your words, "Wasn't that bad." Well, maybe back in AUG 2021 it wasn't but look on Classic Industries web site now and it's listed as $949.99 Plus shipping and Tax. As a kicker it's not even in stock! Sigh!!! I guess I'll be patching my trunk! LOL Keep them coming. Great stuff. :-) Steve, Arizona.

I guess "bad" is relative! I just looked up my receipt, and it was right at $1000 with shipping. But in 2013, when I ordered a new floor for the 71 Cutlass (same Golden Star brand) it was $500 shipped through Ecklers!

@@RestoringChristine1956 it’s amazing, (and not necessarily in a good way), The price difference in parts over the last few years. I restore a 1987 Toyota pick up a few years ago and since then either the parts are unavailable and or way more expensive but we pay for the hobbies that we love. My ‘57 two-door post 150 series will definitely be worth it when I’m finished. I love your videos because I am right where you are with my build, but you are getting slightly ahead of me since I still do not have a floor in my Chevy but I am going to be able to save my trunk so I guess that makes us even. Lol
